Functional and Tough
Top quality, functional and tough. Well placed pockets for all of my most important woodworking gear. Comfortable all day in the shop. And, again, tough: I took a tablesaw kickback (despite two feather boards and positive control). This leather apron was my first line of defense, and saved me from significant damage. Great value.

Incedible quality, especially for the price!
I almost never leave reviews on amazon, but this really deserves one. At the time I purchased mine, this apron was a still brand new product here on amazon with probably less than ten reviews. After I received it, I figured that the price was only as low as it was so they could sell them while there was still hardly any feedback. I thought that after selling a few hundred or these, they would no doubt raise the price after hearing how much their customers loved them. Now after two years it actually costs less than when I bought mine. Go figure lol It's still a bit hard to believe how little this apron cost considering it's quality. It's made from heavy duty canvas as the description says and really feels like a good layer of protection. It works great while I'm using my belt grinder as it keeps my shirts from having new holes burned in them, and it also works great while I'm forging steel (bladesmithing), since it protects my clothes and myself from most of the hot fire-scale that goes flying after hitting the hot steel. I'm also very pleased with how well it fits and how comfortable it is to wear. My previous cheap "leather" apron went around my neck, which I can't stand the feeling of, it's as if I'm wearing a weight around my neck or something. This one straps nicely over my shoulders, which not only makes it much more comfortable, but it also makes it feel lighter since my two shoulders are easily bearing the weight, not my neck. There are plenty of useful pockets on the front as well, so that is another plus. I would definitely recommend this apron and buy it again, although I'm not sure I'll ever need to.

Well made apron with lots of potential.
Great apron. I was initially worried about the fit given it's sizing claims it fits M-XXL, but it turns out there was nothing to worry about there. The apron is a good length, and comfortable to wear, even with the 'out of the box' stiffness in the wax. With time and use, I imagine it'll be even better. I use this mostly in the garage/shop while I'm tinkering with various woodworking projects. The pockets are plenty big enough for convenient access to squares, small levels, etc.., and the cell pocket keeps the phone close and out of harms way. I tend to stream music from the phone to a bluetooth stereo, so it's nice to be able to just reach in the pocket to change playlists or send off a quick text when needed. About the only things I'd change would be the little leather patch that the straps cross through on the back, and perhaps having the lower 'skirt' of the apron below the pockets split to make it easier to bend or kneel. The leather piece that the straps pass through is far too soft for the purpose (in my opinion) often bunching up and making it harder to adjust than something stiffer might. Having a split skirt in front would still offer much the same protection, but allow for greater freedom of movement. Neither is enough to warrant removing a star, as both are more my personal preference rather than any defect or shortcoming in the apron. I'm actually considering getting a second one to use with my BBQ grill. The pockets are big enough to hold my grill gloves, which resemble welding gloves, and with a little modification to some of the grill tools, I can probably use the hammer loops to keep them handy. Definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new shop apron.

great quality and hard to beat, but....
This was my first shop apron and I bought it back in 2016 to use in my workshop (woodworking). The waxed canvas material is definitely heavy duty, yet it's still flexible and comfortable to wear all day in the garage. I have no doubt that this apron, if taken care of, can easily last a lifetime. I'm 6'3", 220lbs and the apron fits fine. With the top of apron at my collar bone, the bottom is about 4" above my knees. No issues with comfort, putting it on, etc. I thought I would share a few lessons learned in case someone else is in the same boat. 1) Would I buy a Hudson Durable Goods apron again? Absolutely! Would I buy this same apron again? No, I would buy one of the other models (reasons why below). 2) In hind-sight, not sure why I thought a black apron would be best for saw dust! It shows saw dust like crazy. See pic. Note, that this is how it looks after 4+ years of use and the only "cleaning" it has seen is with a shopvac a few times. You can see the difference in color between front and back shot of apron. If I was buying again, I would opt for the brown color. Duh! 2) I bought the cheapest model which has no buckles/clips on the straps so you have to tie the apron behind your back. Didn't think that was a big deal, and used it that way for quite a while, but the apron would always come loose over time. I finally got fed up and I ordered a 3 pack of 0.75" wide dual adjustable clips/snaps for about $6. Problem solved! Now it's a "snap" to put apron on and get to work and it stays put until I un-clip the apron. see pic. @HUDSON DURABLE GOODS - why not put a buckle on all of your aprons??? 3) I bought the cheapest model which has no flap/cover over the outer two pockets. The issue with that is over time you will get dust/debris in the pockets. This is especially true if you work with power woodworking tools that spray fine dust towards you - such as a table saw. This is more of an annoyance I suppose. Whenever I'm cleaning up apron with my shop vac I just suck out the pockets too. If I was to buy another apron, I would buy the one that has the flaps over the pockets. Hope the above is helpful/useful information for others.

I use it for bartending and this thing is amazing. Super solid, comfortable. The only downsize is that it takes a while to dry in the winter because it's a thicc boi

It's as manly as a manly apron can be, lol. It's incredibly stiff and well made. Easily a 10+ year apron looked after correctly. I have a 48" chest and was worried it may look small on me but it looks and feels great. The shoulder straps are comfy and it's easy to put on. I did run mine through the tumble drier just to loosen up the fabric a little. But it's well loved now and I would definitely recommend it

El mandil es súper resistente, iba a comprar uno más caro porque pensé que sería mejor pero no me arrepiento. Lo uso para cortar madera y es muy fácil de limpiar, además me mantiene limpio y no me ensucio ni un poco.
