This printer works with my Apple Devices!
I had a new HP printer prior to this printer and had trouble printing via iPad and iPhone on an AT&T wireless fiber network. I spent countless hours unplugging re-setting up that printer and it just never would work properly. So I had to go ahead and donate that nine month old printer. So when I looked to get this one, I wanted to make sure it could do mobile printing and that there were no issues reported for Apple devices. I am happy to say that this printer was so easy to set up. I followed the directions on the quick set up guide as well as on the screen. It attached flawlessly to my wireless network. I have had it about a week or two now. I can print so easily and it transmits quickly, then it prints. I have no trouble finding this wireless printer on my network and it just works great. I am so glad that I found this printer and that it works for me. I wanted to make sure I did a review to let anyone who is in search of a good printer, to know that if you have had a printer that had trouble printing from mobile devices such as Apple iPhone, and iPad then this is the printer for you!

Simple, Hassle-Free Wireless Printing
This printer just works. Setup was quick and easy, and it connected to my home PC without any trouble. Wireless printing has been smooth with no issues, and I really appreciate that it functions fully without requiring any subscriptions. A solid, straightforward printer that does its job well.

Needs instructions
Nice computer but should have an instruction book!. You only get a pamphlet on loading paper tray.

So far so good.
2 HPs in 3 years. In my 35+ years of having a home office I've had 100% HP printers until now. So far this prints faster, doesn’t dance around before printing & then crap out. Now it's Brother for me.

Newer doesn't mean better, comparison to older Brother printer
One star does not mean this is a bad printer but to point out that newer versions of products, not just this one, are lower quality with higher prices. I've never spent more than about $100 on a printer. This one was about 160. Compared to my previous brother printer (J870DW) this one prints slower- 17 ppm compared to 33ppm. (I would have to spend about $300 for a printer that is the same speed as the old one). This one will not import scanned images into my graphic design program. And the build quality on this printer is much less substantial- plastic components are about 1/2 as think in their construction. See picture to compare paper trays- 1170DW on the right which is flimsy with no adjustments for small pages sizes like the older one. I think Brother printers are the best on the market- however like everything else- quality has suffered while prices have gone up.
