This product worked ok, I had ordered several of the similar brass versions from a different seller and returned them all as the threads were improperly formed making an airtight seal impossible.

Works exactly as expected
I added these into my beer brewing system to use a bleeder valves to remove air from some of the lines. The tied in perfectly with no leaks and work exactly as I wanted them to.

NOT FOR DRINKING WATER
I figured that 304 stainless steel would be suitable for drinking water. The problem is they are assembled with some kind of petroleum lubricant (you can smell it) I tried washing with dishsoap with no improvement. Then tried white vinigar with no results. Finally washed in the dishwasher. This removed the odor until you actually opened and closed the valve and the lubricant was again exposed and the smell was obvious. I would not take a chance and put drinking water through this valve. It looks like the construction is good and will use them for air or something else in the shop.

Seals great!
Was a little worried they wouldnt seal 100% or hold vacuum, but I was happily proved wrong. I used these in a vacuum line for carbon fiber molds and it sealed perfect and did not leak at all.

Does not seal when shut off
I bought this as a shut off valve for my Air Compressor. Installed with new fittings and put Teflon Tape on the threads. Plugged in compressor and waited for it to fill tank and shut off. Leaking air from internal ball mechanism and air escaping between main body and blue shut off lever. I purchased this to replace my original one that has worn out after 30+ years. I'm sure if was used for water you would have a severe leak. $25.00 for 2 of these was not worth it. Should definitely return these. Very disappointed with this purchase.
