Perfect for two part canes
I do two part canes made out of exotic woods for high end customers. Finding hardware that is economical is very difficult. This six pack is much more efficient on the pocket book than the same products from Woodcraft. So far I have had no difficulty with the quality so I would recommend these pieces.

Nice
Right size, broke the first one inside the threaded hole. Got it out and tried again. So far so good.

Could be better.
The couplers are okay. There is a very large and obvious seam between the flairs, which is not what I'm used to with the ones I was previously sourcing. What I'm used to were machined super tight and looked like a single brass ring when coupled, but these are not the same. The exterior finish is poor, with several scuffs, dents, scratches, and even some grinding marks (pictured). They seem sturdy, but could be better by design. The exterior posts that thread into the wood are quite thick, however, the interior coupling post is extremely thin compare to the volume of material for the external threads. They could have made a better, stronger couple by simply making the interior thread section a larger diameter. The pros, however, is that these will be fantastic for mid-tier canes, since they were less than $40 for 6 of them, as opposed to $15/each. Not something I'm willing to use on my current snakewood cane project, but they will certainly not go to waste.

Your walking stick can fit in your suitcase...
It took a while to get the three segments of my walking stick properly marked so the brass connectors tightened at the correct alignment. My stick has several bends to it, where as with a straight stick the process would be easier. The connectors are a quality product, and are worth the price. I took my walking stick to Europe in a 21 inch suitcase, and had no hassles going through airport security. I do recommend these connectors.Dennis Owens
