#1 out of four I tested
There are many variations of Bully Stick (BS) holders, and I couldn't decide between four of them that are all pretty similar. So, I decided to buy all four and try them out. Full disclosure, my testing was done only with 7" BS's, which naturally vary in diameter. All four holders are pretty good, but there are some differences worth considering. This is how I ranked them.#1 (GoSports [Red] - 5 stars): The best of the bunch. Due to the narrow oval shape of the opening, it's very easy to load the BS and get it aligned with the clamp, regardless of the diameter of the BS. The handle for the clamp is very large and easy to get a good grip to twist it down tight. The tip of the clamp has a flat surface, which makes it easy to get a good hold on the BS without having to align on the BS groove. The clamp also does not loosen or back-off once tightened. This all allows for minimal BS waste. The plastic material is very tough and holds up to gnawing that can happen after the BS is chewed down to the nub. It's a good size for my 65 lb. Lab to hold down with her paws when chewing the BS.Update - 6/18/24: I continue to be very happy with this BS holder, but a few times the BS was too small to clamp and hold it. What I found works well in this situation is to just put two of the small BS's in the holder at the same time and clamp them both down. This has worked well for the few times this happened, and my dog was very happy to get a little extra chew time. ;-)#2 (ChewEasy [Light blue] - 4 stars): Similar to #1, and works well, but what I like less about it is that the round vs oval opening makes it not quite as easy as #1 to get the BS aligned with the clamp. Although, this might be preferrable if the BS's you buy are really large in diameter. The clamp handle is smaller, so not quite as easy to tighten down as #1. With the ends of the holder being smaller, they're also easier to gnaw on by the dog.#3 (BoniVet [Green] - 3 stars): This one has the advantage of being able to screw the tip of the clamp all the way through the other side of the holder, which does allow for a tight clamp. However, I found I didn't really like the pointy clamp tips as much as the flat ones (like #1 and #2). With the pointy tips, you have to get it aligned with the groove of the BS to get a good hold, and that is not always easy with smaller diameter BS's. The other thing I didn't like about this one is that even after the clamp was tightened, it sort of loosened on its own. The narrow plastic parts around the holder opening also seem susceptible to gnawing damage, although I haven't used it enough to say if it's a real problem.#4 (Bow Wow Labs [Dark blue] - 3 stars): This was actually the first style I bought, but there was enough I didn't like about it, that it caused me to look at the others. As mentioned with #3, I don't care for the pointy clamp tip. The round opening versus oval is less desirable for small BS's but may be needed for larger ones. The clamp itself does not screw in far enough to completely close the gap, so some of the smaller diameter BS could not be tightly clamped down, and my dog was able to get them out and swallow the BS nub. This probably only happened <5% of the time, but it sort of defeats the purpose of the holder. Also, the clamp can only be adjusted with your fingers, not your whole hand, so it's a little harder to tighten and loosen than the others. The edges on the ends of the holder are hard, but easy to gnaw on. So, this model is probably OK for really large BS's, but I found it less useful for the smaller ones.

Good for thicker bully sticks
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good for thicker bully sticks. Easy to tighten all the way down but might not tighten enough on skinny bully sticks.

Very sturdy
Heavy weighted sturdy holder. Screws open and shut tightly to hold any size chew stick Easy for dogs to hold. My dogs are 45 and 65lbs. Used mostly by larger dog as she is a serious chewer

6 month review- highly recommend
I spent weeks debating what bully stick holder to buy and read a ton of reviews before purchasing this over 6 months ago for my now 1 yr old 16 lb ball of bouncing mini-doodle floof.I put her collagen sticks in it & she absolutely loves it.She pulled one out once but that was my fault for not tightening it down more on that particular stick since it was a smaller diameter on the ends.It has been tossed around, dropped, stepped on, thrown, etc and looks none the worse for wear. Pretty sure I could drive a truck over it and nobody could tell by looking at it. I love how soft yet solid it feels & my puppy loves how easy it makes holding the stick to chew.I would recommend this to anyone.

Saves soooo much money on bully sticks and keeps your dog safe
My puppy is a heavy chewer and I have found that bully sticks are his favorite long lasting chews. Previously, I would have to take away the last 4 inches of every stick to prevent him from swallowing them whole. That means if I were to buy an expensive 8 inch bully stick, I would wind up throwing away 50% of it. And of course, the longer sticks are disproportionally more expensive because pretty much any bully stick has like 4" of unusable length for a bigger dog who is able to swallow that much. When I first got this tool, I did as the pictures show and stuck the stick in with all of it sticking out of one side. my dog chewed the end of the bully stick off and left the rest in the holder. Now, I buy 6" sticks and put them halfway through so there's a couple inches sticking out from both sides so he can't chew off long, unsafe chunks anymore. When he gets both sides chewed pretty far down, I shift the stick so it's all coming out of one side. This has allowed me to start buying 6 inch sticks, while only throwing away the remaining 2 inches of each. That took me from a 50% yield on the more expensive longer sticks to a 66% yield on the way less expensive shorter sticks. All this is with the added bonus of having the risk of your dog swallowing a big chunk substantially lowered. My dog is big enough that he can easily pick up the whole heavy unit and carry it around with the bully stick still inside, but he has never gotten the stick out from the holder despite his aggressive chewing. He actually seems to prefer having the holder as it allows him to hold down the holder with his paws while chewing on the stick. He's a basset/husky/bernese mountain dog mix, so he loves to use his arms, but they are very short so it's usually a challenge for him. This is going to be my go-to gift for new dog owners going forward, along with a bag of bully sticks.

Doesn’t
This didn’t work well for us because many of the sticks we order from Amazon are too thick to fit. Like. in a package if 25. fewer than half fit.

Works as advertised
Holds onto thick bully sticks very well. Standard sticks slide out.
