Amazon Basics Wired Keyboard and Mouse Bundle, Full-Sized, QWERTY Layout, Black

Wow, this keyboard is smooth and quiet! It's a replacement for a cheaper Logitech keyboard (MK200) and wanted to see how well the Amazon Basics holds up. Sure enough, I'm impressed! They keyboard is quiet, typing is smooth. The clicking on the mouse is silent! Sounds like a light 'thud' when using it. Same for the scroll wheel, nice and quiet! It feels nice in my hands and it's nearly flat on my desk. No lag at all since it's a wired connection (something I get often from Logitech keyboards prior) and it's super easy to use! Just plug and play right out of the box! Functionality is a plus with buttons dedicated to the File Explorer (button with monitor icon) and Media Player (button with music note icon.) Overall, it serves my needs perfectly. 5 stars across the board for the price!

Excellent keyboard, totally recommend it for my Macbook Pro, and here's why... So I spilled some coffee (just a little) on my Macbook Pro keyboard and the Command key died... its an older computer so I decided I'm just gonna let it be broken and get a replacement keyboard to use (and yes, I have learned my lesson!). Tried a couple of $20-30 bluetooth keyboards by 2 different makers, both purchased on Amazon, and both suck for different reasons. In my research I found Amazon Basics, their line of products that they, as no surprise, closely monitor reviews and ratings on Amazon.com and make product improvements based on those reviews. And the 3 Amazon Basics products I've used so far have all been superior quality to all other unknown brands. I just love this keyboard! Its well made, the keys feel great and it looks good (high gloss black body, matte black keys). Comes with a mouse too, which I though I just throw out, but I tried it out and to be honest after using an Apple trackpad for a few years, its a joy to use a mouse again :). The mouse is nice too, matte black, very light weight, simple. It's a Windows keyboard, so you'll have to re-map the command key and options keys, just use an app like Karabiner, 5 min fix. The only minor gripe I have with the keyboard is there's no Windows/alt/control key mirror to the right of the keyboard, instead there's a alt, right-click glyph tagged button, function key and control key (in that order). That strange right-click key is not recognized by Mac, so it can't be remapped with the app I'm using. So be warned if you must have an identical set up as a mac keyboard on the right, it ain't gonna happen. Even still... For the price to quality ratio, definitely 5 stars. It would be great to have a Mac version of this keyboard, so Amazon if you're listening, you've got my vote to make one :)

I was actually about to do I big mistake buying a Magic Mouse and an Apple Bluetooth keyboard for 100 dollars, so i finally decided to find an alternative affordable solution to get my mac mini a mouse and a keyboard i can work with. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and my experience with it was very positive : It is very quiet, comfortable to use, has a slim layout with all of the standard PC keyboard keys, and overall works fine. It's a really great deal and I have yet to run into any problems with the keyboards. If you go in any other retailer i'm pretty sur you will not find a price as low as this one. The only thing to keep in mind is that this keyboard is (of course) not optimized for mac, however, being a basic USB keyboard with no extra functionality, i had no compatibility problems with my computer running Linux. The mouse is simple but i really do love the soft skin touch, which is much better that my old DELL ex-mouse. Amazon did surprise me on this one ! I honestly don't regret this choice as i don't see any reason i should have spent more than 15 dollars for a keyboard or a mouse. Unless you have some specific need such as gaming or designing, this keyboard and mouse are a good deal !

Keyboard works fine. But the mouse scroll wheel started squeaking. And eventually the mouse's right click stopped working and we needed to replace the mouse.

I’ve had those wireless keyboards that the batteries go out on and I’ve had the wired keyboards that have no batteries. I really like this keyboard because it looks sleek and it’s easy to work off of. The mouse is even cool. I really like it.

The mouse and keyboard work very well. Prior to this I received a Logitech MK270. It didn't work and I returned it and ordered this combo and I couldn't be happier!

I first bought one of these about 15 years ago in the States. I used a Logitech K750 at the time and I think that was the best keyboard for typing that I ever used. Back to the Amazon Basics wired keyboard - I use this for EVERYTHING, including gaming, and it is the best overall wired keyboard I have ever used. The space in between the keys is absolutely necessary when you have bigger hands. The keyboard is spill resistant and typing on it is a breeze. Travel is about medium-low, which is great when you are a faster typist. The only bad is that the letters wear out eventually. If it weren't for that, I could see myself using one of these babies for a decade, no problem. The controls for volume up, volume down and mute are placed comfortably on the top right. This is a full sized keyboard and it doesn't have the little feet to prop it, the curvature of the board does that automatically. It is extremely sturdy - drop proof and no keys have ever come out of the board. This is a 5/5 stars, 100% recommended. Please keep in mind I'm not comparing this keyboard with a premium, pricey board, but rather with other boards in the price range with similar features.

This keyboard is great. It feels great, the keys feel great and the spacing of the keys are great. It's also works great if you have a Mac. There are two small changes that you'll need to make though (by swapping the Windows key with the alt key on the left). 1) Goto System Preferences -> Keyboards -> Modifier Keys and switch the layout to the image attached. The other thing you may want to do is pop out the Windows and ALT keys on the left, and swap the physical keys around. The easiest way to pop out the keys is to just use a credit card under the keys and fling up. You'll just have to remember that the Window Key is the Command Key, but positionally, it's the same as the original Mac keyboard. After these two changes (takes 3 minutes to do them), you have a pretty functional Mac keyboard. The keyboard also has separate volume up and volume down keys that work with native built-in OS X audio controls. I find this solution much better than using the Macally keyboards.

This is a beautiful keyboard to type on, just love it.
