You get what you pay for. It did the job for a while and I was happy while it worked. It stopped working after about 18 months.

At first it was working fine and then it just started reading inaccurately. My daughter had a temp of 103 and it was ready 95-96 degrees. I tried replacing the batteries and it didn't fix it. Reading other reviews it seems this is common and not a one off issue. I am returning this item.

This never did read the temperature accurately. I had to purchase a different brand and got much more accurate readings. It was left in my linen closet for about a year and then randomly started ringing. Very loudly. Almost like a high pitched ringing in your ear! It took me over 30min a 1am to figure out it was this DEFECTIVE item. Don’t waste your money on it.

Finally, a thermometer that does not take three minutes to get a temperature. Works very quickly, seems to be very accurate, simple to use and care for. The price I paid was reasonable as well. The instructions to change from degrees C or F to the other are not perfectly accurate in the instructions but the seller provides a correct response in "Questions" which were to "Make sure the thermometer is turned off. if the display is not dark, leave buttons untouched for 15 seconds.Press the ""MEM"" button for 6 seconds then release. Either C or F will appear in the lower right corner of the display. Quickly press the MEM button again and it will switch to the other.If you have any problems, please feel free to contact us by mail([email protected]) and our team will get back to quickly."This did it for me. Now I am a happy camper.

Fast and accuracy. What I also like is that it takes readings according to age and lights up to how serious the fever is - obviously a fever of 38°C would be more serious for a 3 month old baby than a 3 year old child so the colour coding range depends on the age and is useful for parents as you don't have to search the Internet looking for guidelines on fever!

Stopped working after few months.

The thermometer can be used to take temperature readings from either the head or ear, the front of the unit has a removable cap. Head readings are taken with the cap on and ear readings with the cap removed, the instructions in the booklet are clear and I took reading confidently after reading the techniques to use to get an accurate measurement.
