Great display box. Can't beat the price for this quality and good looking product! ONE DISSAPPOINT, THE LOCK DOES NOT WORK, ONLY FOR SHOW/STYLING I GUESS BUT THAT'S COOL I SUPPOSE. As shown the black spongy material is removable and the inside of the box, both bottom and sides are also lined with a kind of black velvet material so it can be used without the insert which is how I use it. Not using it for coins, using it for jewelry/watches etc. Pretty deep and spacious!

Cheap, Dirty, and Unreliable!
When I opened the package, I was impressed by the quality of the outer box, but the inside was another story. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Beside all the dusts and debris, the wooden box was placed without any protection which damaged the paint and finish in several locations. They could’ve easily wrapped the box to avoid all these damage. Anyhow, I ordered a second unit just to face the same problem again, so I finally gave up and ordered an Apmex box instead. Regarding the lock, it actually works! However, the key is hollow and weak so it breaks very easily. That’s why they say the lock is just for decorative in the description to avoid any returns due to the damages. It’s totally a cheap material issue and not a design flaw. I would save my money and get something better. YMMV and thanks for reading.

What I expected.
excellent display box for the price. I would like the lock to work instead of decorative. Otherwise a good value. Can inserts be sold separately? I tore one putting graded coin in.
