Perfect for Melt and Pour soap
I had never used one for melt and pour. I don't know how I did it before. Use a rocking motion to cut melt and pour and it makes it easier. Just make sure to dry it carefully after each use. Handles are plastic, so they do get slippery. I wore gloves for sanitary purposes. I wish I had known about this sooner.

MUST HAVE for MP soapers
This is a MUST HAVE for anyone that orders bulk MP soap. I order mine in 24 lb boxes and used to hack away at it with a knife, praying that my gloved hands didn't slip because they'd get slippery. I keep smaller portions in containers and always dreaded when I had to refill them. I even enlisted my husband to do it because he's stronger and much more patient. I saw a similar knife being used in a soap tutorial and had to get one. It arrived yesterday and it took me not even 5 minutes to chop up a box of soap. It was so easy and fast that I went ahead and chopped up ALL my soap...about 100 pounds total. In under 15 minutes. This knife is amazing. Just a little rocking from side to side and it sliced through the soap like butter...even the harder soaps that I have were no match for this. No sweating, so swearing, and no slipping. I took the blocks and cut rows every 2" or so, flipped it so they laid flat, then halved them. Now my boxes have nice "bars" of soap that I can easily cut down to fit in my containers.

If you're gonna cut the cheese, this is the tool to use
This is a great knife for breaking up large blocks of cheese if you don't have room or budget for a giant wire cheese blocker. The two handled grip is far, far safer than using two hands on a big chef's knife or slicer. It's also great for making perfect straight cuts on blocks of fudge. Would probably work well for cutting up big vegetables like squash or pumpkin, cutting very straight strips of dough instead of using a pastry wheel, or anything large where a pushing, not slicing motion is used.Like other Mundial commercial-type knives, it's very sharp, nicely finished and has a lifetime warranty. This one has black handles, which I prefer to the easily-stained white handles on many brands of restaurant knives.

"Take me to your Cheese", Only way to cut large blocks or wheels of cheese
Flexible blade which is 15.25" long. Very sharp. Feels well balanced in hands. No more struggling with a one-handled blade. Reduces hand fatigue and protects hands from slipping on edge of open blade. Highly recommend.UPDATE:Used at event on 06-29-2014. It made cutting cheese blocks & wheels extremely easy and safe. Did not leave flaking, smearing or damage to Gouda, Swiss, Extra Sharp Cheddar, Soft Cheeses or Crumble type. Cleaned up super fast! I love this over any other type of cutting cheese because I do not hurt my hand on the a Non-handled end of standard knifes. I have a tremendous amount of control with this 2-handles knife. We are going to try and use it on a variety of desserts & wedding cakes as well.

Ok for softer cheeses but you’ll have to sharpen it. A LOT
It’s study enough but basically it’s a thin piece of metal with a handle at each end. You can push it through brownies easily enough but it’s not good at cutting anything. I bought it to uniformly slice bacon and it’s awful out of the box. Two hours of sharpening helped but I wouldn’t recommend this for anything that requires slicing through anything other than VERY soft material.

I am very happy with this knife
I am very happy with this knife. We buy whole wheels of cheese which we cut up into smaller portions. In the past I have used regular knives (not so nice for the hand pressing on the end of the knife) and wires (pretty irregular cutting). We recently cut up 62 pounds of semi-hard cheese with this knife and it was so much more enjoyable! This knife was a great investment which I am happy I made. The cutting edge is a full 15" long which was plenty long for both wheels (one was Appenzeller and the other was Fribourger Vacherin). The blade is 2-5/8" (65mm) tall.I can not imagine anyone needing to cut large pieces of cheese into smaller pieces not being delighted to be able to use this knife for the task.

Good but not great
I do a lot of baking and I bought this to slice cheesecake and bars. The knife is sturdy enough but it was not very sharp when it came. It was strange in that it was quite sharp on one half but not very sharp on the other half. My husband was able to sharpen it and I kept it. For my purposes it is sturdy enough and I thought it was a good value for the money. It does work to slice bars all the way across with one cut. They look much neater.
