Speed: How To Make Things Go Really Fast Hardcover – International Edition, December 1, 2013

I like Guy Martin, I think he is a clever chap, I've watched some of these episodes and the show is way better then the book. The tone is wrong, the pictures are all a bit GQ and the explanations of the physics are all a bit too Johnny Ball or whatever the equivalent BBC teen science program is of the day. That's not the audience here I'd have thought, but I might be wrong.The one reason I didn't give this a one star was because my wife thought the photos of Guy were dreamy...

This is the sceond time that I have bought Speed for my Kindle the first time I had to cancel the order becauseit would only play in Landscape Orientation mode , I re-bough this book presuming it would now play Portrait Orientation , which it does not.

Very interesting book about a very good programme, probably why it wasn't on for long enough !! If you like speed, order it, took me a week of bed times to read it cover to cover !! couldn't put it down. Bang on !!

I was quite disappointed that it didn't cover the complete guy martin speed tv serious, as it stops at guy martin looking for snow it doesn't mention that he broke the world record by 30mph and brought it back home to England other than that brilliant book and I really enjoyed it

Top book by a top bloke. Check out his other books. I purchased the hardback copies which feel very good quality.You can now even get these on your kindle book reader so I would have purchased them on that if I had the Kindle at the time.Great accompaniment to the TV series that the book was made based upon. In fact if you were buying as a gift buy the book and the DVD!

Brilliant book. Really excellent mix of Guy's rhetoric in his usual mannerism (which we all love in our house) and factual info with really clear pictures and diagrams (which being a bit geeky, I really loved). Top book...
