Dead On Tools DO20-GS Smooth Face Graphite Shaft Hammer, 20 Ounce

I love this hammer. Once you get used to the heft, it becomes like an extension of your body. This thing is a monster. Enough mass to drive a framing nail in one or two good hits, and the straight claw is both a demolition pick and a formidable lever. Handle is light, and stronger than the ties that bind. Rubber hatchet flare grip is priceless. Buy it.

It's well balanced, fits well in your hand and durable. The claw is less durable and softer than I'd like. After nearly a year of being abused on construction sites it's still going strong and replaced my estwings as hammer of choice.

Don't often get too excited about a hammer, but finally found one that is heavy enough to strike well, balanced well and really feels good in my hands. This really fit the bill, and was priced reasonably!

Bought this for my tool bag but my husband grabbed it instead so I guess he liked it too. Old hammer was wood and the top came off so we needed a new one. Nice size, nice and heavy, will work for many projects just have to buy my own it looks like.

I own a Dead On milled face hammer as well as an Exhumer prybar & needed a smooth faced trim hammer. I didn't even consider another brand - they're well constructed and built to last

I had to return this hammer twice because they kept sending me a smooth face hammer. Other than that, it would make an excellent finishing hammer.
