Fairlead Travel Overnight Duffel Backpack Gym Bag with Padded Handles, Compression Straps, and Multiple Pockets, Mercury/Black

First off I had my doubts about this bag. I bought it because my last High Sierra Duffle lasted seriously over 30 years and I only got rid of it because my wife didn’t approve of the way I kept it clean. It function as fine as the day I bought it. This new one didn’t have the expanding zippers on the sides like the last one. But after owning this new bag for several months, I absolutely love it. I think it’s safe to say I like it even more than my last bag, I’m very impressed with both style and durability. I’m keeping this one “cleaner” this time so my wife won’t have anything to say and also, just because this duffle is awesome. Thanks High Sierra

I like all the pockets and how you can carry it S a backpack.

Compared to other top name brands, this bag offers superior quality at a bargain price. I compared numerous bags and decided on this one for several reasons: Quality construction...appears to be very well made with quality materials Affordable price...priced significantly lower than the more famous brands (and it was on sale!0 Features...had all I needed...and all I wanted Capacity...this bag will hold a ton! No real desire for the backpack option, but it's nice to have if ever needed.

Perfect travel bag and very durable

I thot it would be bigger , I didn’t think about the measurements. Sturdy and heavy construction.

Well made bag by a company I trust, but a gym bag, this isn't. They took away one end pocket to store back pack type shoulder straps, which to me are useless, I don't hike to the gym. Single strap would have worked better, I tried to add one but no place to attach it.

Going on an African safari and was told we had to have a duffel style bag. Also, the bag should not be too dark as that attracts mosquitoes wanted something that I could carry on and was small enough for the short African country flights. Compared this bag to a nice looking north face and to a Patagonia. First of all this bag is considerably less expensive, and secondly, from a utility perspective, it is as good or actually better than the competition. I highly recommend that you give this bag a try by the way this is neither a paid review nor some type of social media or other compensated review. In the end our research for our group resulted in eight people buying this bag.

Only wish could remove backpack straps and store it when not in use . Straps have come out of pocket when using it as a duffle bag .

First off I've had another High Sierra backpack since my University days (18 years ago) that is still holding on amazingly well with continuous use over the years so I had high hopes for another. I took this new bag with me from Canada to Brazil then all across Europe for two months before coming home. It did the job and is still in use, however it didn't hold up quite as well as I had hoped. The end pouch is right on the bottom when in backpack mode so everytime it was set down it was set down on that zipper which has now failed. and the other main draw back is that they used regular sized straps on a large capacity bag. That makes it very easy to overload and then have those narrow straps digging in to your shoulders. It did the job though and the fact that the flap was against my back while carrying it added a sense of security since no one behind me could try to pickpocket from it. It also made it on every flight as a carry on, I can't guearentee every airline will allow it but I had no issues.
