Best Headset Ive Ever Owned
I never write reviews but this is honestly my favorite headset i've owned. No sponser, just excited. Mic Quality: The mic quality is not quite as good as the wired version, but the difference is small and overall did not sway my opinion on these at all. Battery Life: After receiving these in the mail at 100% battery, the battery lasted ~2 months with 4+ hours of use per day. The battery charges fast too - a full charge in about 2 hours. The headset will turn off to conserve battery if it doesn't detect anything being played after a few hours. Weight and Comfort: You would assume these would be heavy because of the long battery life and wireless-ness, but these are very light and comfortable to wear (even for a long time). These are lighter than the wired hyperx clouds I had previously (and I am very picky about comfort/weight due to frequent headaches and sensitivities). Sound Quality: The sound quality is great - crisp and clear. The headset can get surprisingly loud, I never have go above 50% at most if I am listening to something particularly quiet. Connectivity: Easy to connect the first time - took a few minutes at most. Now, I am able to click the power button and it instantly connects with no fussing. Stays connected even from multiple rooms away. Value: 10000%. Will rebuy this or the newer version as my next headset!

Great, Simple Headset
This is the headphones you want. Okay, that's kind of a subjective statement, everyone has their own opinions, but they are the headphones for me. I hope them never discontinue them (because I assume they'll eventually wear out). So everyone said the battery lasts forever, that's true. I've had them for 7 months now, I wear them all day at work and I think I've only charged them 3 times (I usually wait for it to get to 30 or 40 percent before charging them). The audio is good and they are plenty loud. I think if you are an audiophile or something you might not care for the audio, but for me as a gamer I think they are fine. The one complaint I have about them is the mic is not fancy or anything, it doesn't extend or fold up all nicely you just curl it up to get it out of your face. The mic also plugs into the headset with a standard audio jack and one time it got knocked lose (not sure how, it fits in nice and snug) and I wasn't broadcasting and I thought it was broken and was super upset, but once I realized I just needed to shove the mic back into the socket everything was find after that, so watch out for that in case you think it's broken. That said, no real complaints. Fairly comfortable, they seem very reliable, they are simple enough that I don't think there are many points of failure so I expect them to last 4-5 years easy (but we'll see). Price is kind of high for a simple headset, so it might be out of reach for some, but I think they are quality and if you are going to take a chance on a mid range headset this is a good choice.

3 year Review - Still the Best
I have owned a lot of headsets over the years, from turtle beach, razer, corsair, anker, the list goes on. These are far and away the best. Pros: - comfortable: I can wear these for hours and forget they're even on. - build quality: the aluminum/alloy frame has held up well over the almost 3 years I've owned this - reliable: I can't recall ever experiencing any random disconnects from my PC (within a reasonable range). - battery life: they aren't lying with the insane battery life claim. I game these very regularly, and I charge them maybe once a QUARTER (every 3 or so months). That's nuts! - sound quality: they sound better than most headsets I've used. Very good at this price point. Cons: - this is really digging, but I wish they had more color options. I don't think I've seen these in any other colors besides red.

Not perfect, but amazing value
While these aren't perfect, I'm giving 5* because I can't find a better value. I used to LOVE the SteelSeries Arctis 7 wireless line until they betrayed their user base with the + line. I am so happy I found HyperX Clouds because they are an amazing replacement. The Arctis + series cheaped out and added software based controls which were super laggy, froze all the time, needed a constant reset (done w/ an ejector needle under the earpad), and the HyperX Cloud sounds just as good with none of these issues! The headset batteries last a week or more before needing charging. Charge them when in the shower, sleeping, out of the house, and they just never die. They do also annoy you about low battery so you don't forget to charge before it's too late. Very comfortable to wear. The adjustability wears out after about 3-years (and slips), but they're such a good value I'd buy again (and I did after 3-years). One suggestion is to disable the horrendous Windows settings for Spatial Sound. They are garbage. You can mess with the HyperX software and see if you like the dtsx spatial sound but I have it disabled personally. One downside is that it does require software for full functionality, but the software is super lightweight. The range is also great. It has a USB dongle for connection. I can go into other rooms and it works perfectly fine. Also charging is USB-C, so that's a nice bonus. Overall I'm super happy with the quality. My only complaint is that HyperX intentionally does not sell replacement parts because they want you to e-waste the product when a single hinge breaks (and they will). Parts wear after 2-4 years based on how lucky you are. I did contact HyperX support and they refused to sell me parts out of warranty. I did see some sellers 3D printing the parts but didn't want to spend $10-20/part and risk it becoming a whole project. Still, this is an amazing headset for the cost so I'd still give it five stars. Also I do recommend WC Freeze earpads, as the stock earpads aren't bad but are a bit small imo. If you have small ears, you'll be fine. If American sized, it'll be fine (maybe annoying for some), but if large ears, you'll hate it. WC Freeze earpads are much roomier and fix that issue, though add the expense in your consideration. I also find the WC Freeze earpads more comfortable, cooler in the winter, etc, but if I recall they're like $30, so they aren't cheap.

Driver issues, has connection problems, terrible software, and broke apart after a year
The battery life on these headphones is INSANE. I charge them once a week. The sound quality is great. The comfort is pretty good. However, I have a several problems with them. 1. The "Power On" and "Power Off" sound. It's a guy that just says, "Power On. Battery level is {blank} percent." That's fine... except he shouts it into your ear at max volume. There is nothing you can do to turn down this voice. I have to turn these on/off at arms length to not have my eardrums blown. People across the room can hear this guy trying to rupture your eardrums. 2. The wireless connection is... ok. I can go into the kitchen and restroom from my bedroom (kitchen is next room over, restroom is two rooms over in the other direction.) However, in the kitchen, depending on the angle of my head, they randomly disconnect. Also, my balcony which attaches directly to my bedroom... they disconnect the moment I go outside. Keep in mind, my previous headset did not have this issue and I was able to walk around my entire apartment and balcony without connection trouble. 3. They randomly freeze. I guess freeze is the best word for it. I'll be watching a video, playing a game, talking to friends, or any other normal task when suddenly, the audio in my headset turns into a loud "BRRRRRRRRR" tone that does not stop. I have to shut them off and turn them back on again. This is clearly an issue with the headset as turning on my PC speakers shows the PC audio is fine. 4. The volume dial on the headset is USELESS without their garbage app installed. In fact, if you roll it down, it will even sound a tone telling you it's been turned up/down all the way... even though the volume hasn't changed. I shouldn't have to install their bloatware just to use the volume nob, this should be built into the headset firmware. 5. The software is trash. It comes with RGB customization! There is no RGB on this headset. It has advanced macro software. Your headset doesn't have macros. It's got a whole bunch of other features... and NONE of them matter for your headset. It's meant to be an all-in-one software but if you only use the headphones then this software being forced upon you for the most basic feature; volume wheel. Update: They broke today. Like, the entire rail snapped out of place because the plastic clip snapped while putting the headphones on which caused the metal inside to stab me in the side of the head. I've only had them for like a year.

Great Headset - But Have Backup, It's always 100% ... until it's not.
Overall [TLDR] Great headset, not gonna lie, despite its one glaring flaw... I really do enjoy it, the freedom is convenient and the sound quality and fit are on par with their other products. PROs: I like the fit - comfortable, I gotta big head and this fits me and cups my ears like a Gamer Goddess's Bosom ... no complaints. Have some Q-Tips though for the next morning after those long gaming sessions, you know what I'm talkin' about... that cupped sound knocks that wax loose - get it out!! I like the sound (I use the immersion app) - easily comparable to it's Cloud and Alpha S brothers and sisters. Some minor popping if you go too far from your PC whilst getting a drink or something, but DUH, that's to be expected and [see below] the range is decent. I like the Bluetooth range... not QUITE the 30m advertised, but close enough I can get around most of my house with little interruption. 22-25m for me... acceptable and certainly better than most. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here and say the difference is caused by the materials in my walls. Maintains it's Strength throughout Battery Charge - there was very little give in what the headset was willing to do and it performed consistently with what I viewed as 'acceptable performance,' throughout the testing period. It's a Charged or NOT device - all or nothing. "THE" CON: And here it is, the glaring con, the reason I can't give it the 5-stars I REALLY want to... Battery Power reporting - It lies!! Perhaps it's a specific problem to my product... but I doubt it. The headset will report it's battery power, "Power On - Battery power 100%" each time you turn the power on regardless of it's actual power level. I intentionally avoided charging, waiting to see if it ever reported anything other than 100%... it NEVER reported anything other than, "Power On - Battery Power 100%" period. A Month (and 2 days) later, it just powered off in the middle of a game, no warning, no report, no anything... just silence. So I knew what happened, I intentionally pushed it to it's breaking point for this specific reason. I plugged in it's charging cord, plugged that into the system and turned it on. "Power On - Battery Low." - Nice of it to report that NOW but kind of too little TOO late... right? So let me be clear, I did NOT measure the specific number of hours used. I'm VERY pleased to report that I've used the headset religiously for the last month (with NO charge) for 'at least' 6 hours a day - easily surpassing the 200+ hrs mark. There were some weekends in there that I ... <cough>... may have fallen asleep during use and used more. So do I believe the near 300hrs per charge claim? YES. Yes I do and I applaud the ingenuity behind whatever tech allows that 300hrs charge capability without degradation of performance to the point it shuts down. That said, the FALSE reporting of Battery Power - denies the user 2 things: 1) An accurate accounting of actual battery status 2) No confidence in 'Battery Recharge' time. If the headset reports 100% anytime it has sufficient charge to operate, how am I to determine the REAL time it takes to charge the battery to 100% - has an overnight charge REALLY recharged the battery to 100% or will it power off again in a week? The populace is informed that it's generally frowned upon to 'overcharge,' a device. However in the case of this device and it's false reports, we're left with little choice. We either use it till it dies and recharge it at that point... hoping we've charged it enough. OR place it on the charger when not in use at the risk of overcharging and reducing the overall life-expectancy of the product. PLEASE CORRECT the BATTERY CHARGE REPORT FEATURE - otherwise, a fantastic product worthy of the HyperX product line. :) Thanks for reading.

10/10 Best Wireless Headset
Amazing 10/10 headphones. How did I go so long without wireless? The battery life is downright amazing. The sound quality is on par with my Bose headphones. Okay maybe the Bose is better but these are great. Easy controls. And did I mention I can walk around my house with these still being connected talking to my friends? They’re also very comfortable and lightweight, better than my old wired headphones. Just buy them. After doing thorough research, I settled with these and couldn’t be happier. I’ve had them for a little under a year now and they’re still amazing. I barely charge them. Also the app is pretty good with EQ and stuff like that. So what are you waiting for?

Sounds excellent & no app issues for me as of July 2024
Took a leap of faith getting these. I read all the good reviews, but all the bad reviews regarding build quality & audio quality had me hesitant. Even more so after reading that the quality of HyperX stuff has diminished since being acquired by HP. Opening the box leaves a lot to be desired at this price point, nothing special going on there. Plastic shell inside a box with your dongle & headset. The set itself feels very solid in the hand, and the plastic around the hinges seems of higher quality than that you'd find on cheaper sets. I know this type of hinge is prone to breaking, but I think with proper care taking them off your not going to stress anything too much. I had a pair of Roccats that used the same style hinge, but was made of far cheaper plastic, and they held well over a year before starting to chip away, and packing tape held things in place long enough before replacing. Actually loved that set. Roccat Elo Air. I have to say though that for $150 at the time of purchase I'd of appreciated better packaging. However I had no issues at all with getting the drivers & firmware up to date (took less than 5 minutes) and it was really pretty much plug & play. Battery was at 70% and good to go. Nor did I have any latency using the Ngenuity app. Maybe I'm just lucky? They have exceptional sound quality in my opinion. I got what I was looking for with heavier bass, and solid passive noise cancellation. I had no issues making out audio cues in Cyberpunk 2077, or Helldivers 2. Now it doesn't have any Bluetooth connectivity, but that's not what I'm looking for in a gaming headset. It seems that the money saved not including Bluetooth went into better quality audio drivers. Could be wrong, but the audio is excellent. So my only complaint for the headset isn't even the headset lol. It's the cheaper packaging it came in. I wouldn't drop $200 on these at full price, but if you see these on sale for $150 or so (think I paid $145) and don't care about being able to connect to every device in your home these are a great choice.
