Very helpful, I have passed my T2 In California a month ago! Review: Excellent prep help - I'm in Arizona, used this as a study guide for the Treatment 1 test. I had used/gathered other resources, but still felt like there was a mountain of knowledge with no real guidance to narrow it down to what I was expected to know. So I got this, took the first test, took notes on what I didn't know or had never heard of, studied up, took the next test, etc. Helped a ton. At least for the T1 in my state, the topics covered were very accurate, and the difficulty of these practice tests was a good bit higher. I actually got annoyed during the certification test because the questions were all so shallow and simple compared to these, it just felt silly. It was all the same ideas, just dumbed down, so if you can answer these, you can answer the questions on the real test. I got in the 80s on all four of these practice tests, and got an 86% on the real test (never did learn about pumps and such) so I'd say these guys nailed it. The other most useful resources, by the way, were the Sacramento books (out of which a fair few ideas on these tests and the real test were taken almost verbatim) and the Water Sifu podcasts and his first math course. Good luck, y'all!

Must Have
Fantastic. I made myself flash cards based on my course, then took the first practice test. Made flash cards for any I got wrong, took the second test. So on and so forth. Passed T2 exam easily. Some of questions were exact replicas from this book.

Math is done very nicely
The questions are very good. I have been using this as a study guide in combination with "Water Treatment Operator Handbook" and I've found the questions very helpful thus far. There are a lot of good videos online, and there are some great flashcards at Cram.com. I haven't gone for the test yet, but the questions in this book correspond to my other studies. The math problems were nicely written out in the answers, which was a huge plus.

Useful and practical, although broad
After thoroughly studying for approximately 9 weeks, I passed my CCWP water treatment operator D license on the first attempt. I had utilized multiple resources and created a system that integrated said resources to provide full comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter. I have much to praise about this book and a few others to address. Goods: Large bank of questions to practice with -> 4 practice exams with 100 questions each provided ample selection to pull from Broad topics covered -> operator math was simple and easy to follow, the process and mechanical questions all varied and no two questions repeated themselves Single source and current -> Ken did his work in ensure the question bank was all accurate information and as up to date as the printing allowed. Operator math breakdown -> for those with difficulties on the math, Ken provides full breakdowns of operator math problems including the unit conversions Others Operational questions missed mark -> many questions on the exam were pulled from operator processing and laboratory work Question formatting too professional -> questions and answers in this book were beyond the scope of those in the actual exam. The exam questions were in many instances incomplete or written in such a way that grammatical errors were present All in all, this is a fine practice question bank that will perform it's role as a study aid well for those planning on testing for their entry tier water treatment operator license.

This guide was a revelation during my preparation for the water treatment level 1 exams. The striking similarity between the book's questions and those of the actual exam saved me valuable time, especially for the numerical section. The guide includes four 100-question practice exams with answers at the end for self-review. This setup simulates the real test environment, bolstering confidence and readiness. I consistently scored in the 80s on these tests, a sure indicator of my preparedness. I was particularly impressed with the guide's in-depth explanations of math problems. Rather than just providing answers, it nurtures understanding, a huge advantage for those finding the numerical section challenging. However, it's noteworthy that the practice tests are tougher than the actual exams. Initially, this irked me, but I realized if I could tackle these challenging questions, the real test would be manageable. The guide sets a high bar, making the actual exam feel easier in comparison. Despite its price, its relevance and answer cross-checking capability make it worth the investment. It's also advisable to supplement this book with other resources like the Sacramento books and the practice tests at the website Water Prep Co. Despite its price, its relevance and answer cross-checking capability make it worth the investment. That said, this book and the online practice questions at Water Prep co is highly recommended for your water treatment level 1 exam preparations. Good luck!
