Lady Susan and Other Works (Wordsworth Classics)

I love Jane Austen. These are early attempts and unfinished novels but well worth reading. I only wished she had lived long and written more complete novels. She had a gift for telling a story and making each character come alive with their own unique personality and characteristics. She must have been a great observer of people and their interactions with each other.

For Austen enthusiasts who want to read her lesser known works. Sanditon and Lady Susan were my personal favorites but it also provided great insight into Jane's young mind with the collection of juvenilia.

This edition is gorgeous and worth every cent if you're an Austen fan who has to have all her works. Lady Susan is especially fun- she's the woman every girl fears and what's more- fears to leave near her husband, brother, father, and son.

I saw the movie and wanted to read Jane Austen's words in this epistolary novella. It is very clever and a delight to read, full of wit and acerbic observations. It is a quick read.

Great book!

Book arrived in good conditions

It contains many unfinished and shorter works of Jane Austen. It is exactly as it appears in the preview, no surprises there. Arrived in perfect condition, the sellers were careful about that.However, there is a problem with all Wordsworth Classics Edition, the front cover page is too fragile. Even you holding it lightly will leave fold marks on the leaf.

Il libro è arrivato con qualche imperfezione sulla copertina. Mi aspettavo una raccolta di racconti, invece è una collezione di "esperimenti" giovanili della Austen, molto frammentaria. Diciamo che è un must have per fan della stessa o chi vuole fare uno studio approfondito delle sue opere (magari per un esame o perché deve scriverci una tesi), altrimenti non ha molto senso comprarlo.

The book is a collection of stories, one of which is Lady Susan, my reason for buying the book. I enjoyed the story. Quite unlike other Austen stories.

Wordsworth Classics ha creado estos libros a precio más que adsequible para promover la literatura. Si quieres leer los clásicos en ingles, en edición de bolsillo, estos libros merecen mucho la pena. Todos tienen una introducción del autor y su epoca por profesores o incluso catedráticos de literatura, un plus muy interesante a la lectura. La edición a pesar de ser de bolsillo está muy cuidada. Merecen mucho la pena los libros de esta ediciónm y a un precio increible.

Get other properly edited book. This is like austens rough notes, you can barely understand anything, there are other books that are much more readable
