Silverback NXT 54" Wall Mounted Adjustable-Height and Fixed Basketball Hoop with QuickPlay Design

I am VERY particular. I wanted another brand that was extremely expensive, but my husband said no. Ha! We chose this one and installed it on our brick exterior. It looks modern. We haven’t had any issues. Great size. Happy kids. Happy wife!

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews. However, in this instance I was extremely impressed with the build quality and clarity of instructions! Price to value is high on this. Unlike a lot of need to be assembled products - the conciseness, simplicity, and completeness of the instructions was a welcome sight .

Does the job just fine! The instructions are as noob friendly as possible. The diagonal brace behind the board does a good job of insuring the ball bounces firmly off the board. The rim is great quality. The screws are zinc plated and quality steel. Easy to lower and raise for the kiddos.Things to note:1. The backboard has a side wall and given it's plexiglass and will eventually become brittle and break it will be impossible to find a replacement board unless you buy the exact one from them.2. The distance of the mounting holes that secure it to the wall are not 16 on center so you'll have to add studs in the wall to secure it properly.3. Make sure you face the head of the screws that hold the mounting plate that attaches to the back of the board towards the center of the board (see picture). If you face the 4 screws the wrong way they will interfere with the pivot of the backboard.

The installation was quite tricky, but it looks great now. I created a mount using staggered pieces of wood, measuring 3 inches by 1 inch by 12 inches, to contour to the siding. Then a layer of pressure treated plywood 3/4", and then a layer of 1.5 inch treated wood. I painted it to look like the brick I have. After locating the studs, I ensured that the brick looking wood mount's anchoring bolts were securely fastened. I purchased 5-inch GRK star drive bolts from Home Depot to anchor the wooden pieces, which I painted to resemble brick. I then used 2-inch Tapcon anchoring bolts to attach the backboard mount to the wooden structure I created.I had a hoist to lift it from the window above, and it wasn't easy to secure the large board with the steel mount onto my wooden mount. Before starting the installation, I dry-assembled everything on the ground. It took two people—one on the hoist and me guiding it into place—to drive the anchors where they needed to go. We're very happy with the result, as portable basketball boards tend to get broken when the wind blows them over.The installation was quite tricky, but it looks great now.

Good solid quality. Mounted above our garage. Son loves it and uses it every week. Only issue I have is the installation after you have mounted the support bracket to the wall. I love the fact that it hugs the wall (this is the main reason why I purchased it). I didn't need an adjustable one that hangs far off my garage. However, this makes it difficult to install because even with a ladder and being very close to it, it's difficult to both hold and align it while getting your arm and hand behind the backboard to connect it to the mounting bracket - especially if you are doing this by yourself!

New favorite feature at our house! The backboard is not glass but some kind of plexiglass or plastic but the functionality is great. Fairly sturdy and easy enough that my 11 yr old can adjust the height of the hoop.

My 16 year old son and I mounted this hoop on our garage. It seems like a very good hoop/backboard for the price and it looks much nicer than some of the other affordable options. It took a fair amount of time to take all the necessary measurements on the inside and outside of the garage wall. We had to mount a few 2x6"s inside the garage attic to reinforce the wall studs. It was definitely necessary to have one person inside the attic and one outside as we drilled the holes and attached the bracket. As they say "measure twice, cut once", but in this case it was measure 17 times and drill once. After we got the wall mount bracket installed, the rest was very easy. The backboard and rim assembly was very straight forward. As others mentioned, you have to buy bolts with washers and nuts to mount the bracket on your wall. The holes are drilled for 5/16" bolts, but I drilled them out to fit 3/8" bolts for added strength. There are 8 total pre-drilled holes, but I only used 4 total bolts and it is very secure on the wall. The bolt length will vary based upon your particular situation. It took us 2 half-days to do the job, but you could do it in a full day.

Very sturdy and looks great! Even held up perfectly after a rough winter. Really easy to adjust the height of the basket which my son loves for some dunking sessions.
