'Worst of...Live'!
Records companies love irony, don't they? Surely, they must, I mean, how else could this cd be titled as it is? What? You say that they might be trying to fool unsuspecting buyers? Well, if that's true, then they've certainly suckered this buyer. This Iggy Pop release contains as good a selection of his popular songs as you could reasonably hope for. Disastrously though, it contains both poor performances of these songs and unbelievably bad sound reproduction. I've forced myself to listen to this four times now and I still can't find anything positive to say about it. If you like Iggy's music and want to own an enjoyable live recording featuring many of his most famous songs, then please don't consider buying this travesty.

uncompromised live album
taken from several tours, in 1977, 1986 and 1988, this compilation offers you an insight in the way Iggy Pop delivered his music on stage and that is not so bad as the earlier reviewer wrote. Most of the songs are pleasant enough to listen at, more than a few times. According to the sound quality it is surely better than a bootleg. Take for instance the 1977 live album "TV Eye", that recording is abonimable (2 songs from that album are included here but on a far better sound) although it adds to the impression. This is more a kind of historic musical document, with plenty of songs from his time with the Stooges, material from his solo-albums with David Bowie and later on, till the "Instinct" album, with among other Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) as sidekick on guitar and songwriting. There is not any information given about the musicians who are assisting Pop in his live performances. For the 1977 part it is obivious that they are the same as on the "T.V. Eye" livealbum, but for the 1986 part I cannot tell, because at that time Pop had no real band around him (in that year "Blah Blah Blah" was recorded with only a few instrumentalists and a drummachine), for the 1988 period I imagine the people who worked on "Instinct". Released in 1996 it was one of the few official I.P.-live-albums, but at the time of writing (2009) there are so many, too much to mention or collect. Still it ain't a bad deal, for less than 10 euro you'll receive a great package of extra-ordinary live versions of Pop-songs. I agree only with earlier viewer on one song: "I got a right" (a very short version) is a bad tape, for this one the version on "T.V. Eye" is much much better, with a beautiful hardrock guitarsolo. Have fun!
