Get one and see for yourself. Review: Summer prep for next grade! - I wanted to share with you a book that has been a hit in my household this summer! I recently got this summer book for my daughter who is entering 3rd grade, and it has truly sparked excitement for learning during the summer break. Despite initial reservations about keeping up with school work during the summer, this book has made learning fun and engaging for my daughter. She now eagerly looks forward to her summer school time, thanks to the interactive content of the book. One of the highlights of the book is a sticker map that helps track progress, making the learning experience enjoyable and rewarding for kids. It's amazing how such simple elements can make a big difference! I highly recommend this book for parents looking to make learning engaging and enjoyable for their children during the summer break.

Great books!
Great supplementary books for homeschool education. They don’t actually teach the course- that’s up to you. But they’re fun and engaging and a great supplement to your program. My son loves these and they have stickers and fun exercises, too! Get one and see for yourself.

Good variety of activities
I love these books! I get them for all my kids for their summer break. There is a lot of variety in the worksheets and is great for them to do a little each day, just to stay on track and review topics and skills over the summer. Love them.

Entertainment and Substance
We used the Summer Brain Quest between 2&3 workbook the summer after 1st grade. My son was 7 at the time and completed about 2/3 of the activities. I picked one grade ahead because the math in the 1&2 workbook seemed too basic. The math was not too difficult for him, but the literacy activities had some new-to-him concepts that are covered in second grade. It was fine, though. I like how it's divided into 7 levels, and the levels get longer so there's an element of rising challenge. You have a map and get to place stickers for every activity. There are some bonus activities with special stickers, as well as a big sticker when you complete a level. There's also a list of recommended books for summer reading - 10 fiction and 10 nonfiction, as well as a sample deck of the Brain Quest smart card game -- a dozen cards, each featuring a question in all four subjects (math, science, language arts, and social studies). The activities cover four areas: math, language arts, science, and social studies. Each level has a mix of questions from all four areas. Partway through the path, you get to choose whether you want to do a more math-science-heavy track or a more language-and-social-studies-heavy one. I like that option. You can always come back and complete the path you did not choose at first as well. I wish the math was more challenging for the grade given rather than having to go up a grade. But overall, I would recommend this well-done workbook.

Love these for summer break!
My kids love the Brain Quest summer workbooks because they’re quick activities and they get stickers! It’s the perfect size for summer break. The kids do a spread or two each day, outdoor quests or side quests when they’re ready, and it’s always finished by the end of summer. The sticker chart is fun because they can see their progress.

Fun and motivating
My daughter did not want to stop working in this book, she loves it. She finally, after finishing 2nd grade actually enjoys more academic activities but does get frustrated if she doesn't know what to do, so I needed something motivating for her. So far the reading is a bit challenging, but the math is a little too easy. It doesn't really matter as long as she is practicing a variety of skills. The sticker map is definitely motivating for her. I definitely recommend this workbook, I may buy more from this company, or try the surrounding grade levels

Nicely organized with a variety of topics to review!
My son is headed to third grade next year, and someone recommended this book. I love it! It has a variety of topics and skills such as short/long vowels, reading maps, and apostrophes. It includes a sticker chart with goals of finishing levels, and because the topics are so varied, it keeps my son’s attention.

Lots of reading and heavy on Western / North American characters and stories if your child is not famiiat (ex: raised in Europe) then may need to explain some characters to keep child engaged

It was a waste.. the other books of brain quest are better.. the transition books are not good

Exciting for kids. They also gameify the process, so it hooks them into the material.
