I recently purchased another brand which only offered the traditional cardboard viewing disks. They were bent on the first day. Even with adult supervision, they were not durable enough for independent use by 4 year olds! These have strong, durable plastic disks. The children can get them in and out independently.

Grandson hasn't seen it yet. Ordered for b'day. But I had one as a child, so I know he will enjoy.

I bought this for my grandson back in Aug 2023, and gave it to him for his 4 birthday this Nov 20, and to my grandson's and all family disappointment, it did not work!!! He was so excited to see the planets and dinosaurs, but none of us couldn't make it work, the wheel slides would not turn at all when using the handle, we had to turn it manually. Since I buy presents ahead as I see them, I can't return it, so be aware, is cute, and looks great with all the different slides, but is not worth it, poor quality, doesn't work.

This item was well made and worked perfectly. It's like the old school ones but better. I only wish they had more reels

I was amazed! He has never even seen a view master before. Right out of the box he grabbed it put it up to his eyes and started flipping through the pictures. He even kind of reached out like he could touch the things on the pictures because they are 3D. The next thing he did is moved to different light sources and found the brightest spot to point it to to see the pictures! How the heck does a barely 2 year old know all of that? I guess because it was just very obvious what to do? He even changed the reels himself with out anyone showing him! That’s how easy it is, I guess! I don’t know if I’m more impressed with my 25 month old grandson or the view master! My daughter swears he has never even come in contact with a view master much less seen one! What a great item that doesn’t require instructions because it’s made obvious just seeing it! He loves it and likes moving around the house with it to use different light sources! All of my children had view masters and I did too as a child!

Made out of plastic just like all view master's I've ever seen. These disks have a plastic like holder which I think would last longer than the paper ones but no other disks work with this 3D art creative view master.I picked it because of the type of disks that it has like baseball, insects etc. The first picture on the disk isn't straight until you click to the next and then they are all fine. Subjects look like they are just art pictures instead of actual insects etc. Can not find other disks to fit this view master. I ordered a disk that said 3d but then they wouldn't fit because they are made of paper and not with the plastic which is thicker so beware what you buy. My autistic child enjoys this and is easy for him to click. I see it was cheaper to buy through Walmart.

The "see-through" car is a little smaller than I anticipated, however, its still a favorite and adorable for a birthday gift!...My grandson is all about "cars" and delighted at the clear car body with all the working gears and its colors, music it projects, and the motion.And the other gift:The 3D Viewer with its 6 viewing reels is also a fun gift, educational, brightly colored, as well as a keeper long term as he gets older...If you are looking for gifts for the 3yr old and at a loss on what to give your little one, give these 2 a look and you will be glad you did!
