Jackson Pollock (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists) Paperback – January 1, 1994

I purchased many of these books in the series for my grand-daughter who is 8. This way she can learn about many different types of art and the life stories behind the artists. She especially enjoys the little cartoons that give the series a hint of humor. Perfect for children young and old, many interesting facts.....very well written. I want her to learn that there is no right or wrong way to draw or paint.......each person has their own unique style. She herself, is very talented and I hope this series will broden her appreciation for the artists and their works. We hope to visit some of the originals in galleries some day.

Mike Venezia's books for composers and artists are wonderful. We use them in our homeschool art/music curriculum. Colorful pictures depicting the artists' work and work of other artists who were their inspirations. There are also a few cartoon drawings depicting funny stories about the artists' life.

Nice children's book as an introduction to the artist and his some of his work.

Great presentation about The USA's most famous, international artist of the 20th Century, providing children with an understanding the art teachers and other books do not. I purchase three of them for my families with my great-grandchildren.

We bought a couple of these for our 8-year-old nephew who has an interest in art for his birthday on a recommendation from a friend. His mom said he loved them & continues to read them.

I use these for teaching to kids in art classes. They love the comics in them, the pictures keep them interested, and they are very educational. I am a HUGE fan! Most books in the series cover the artist, art style, and pertinent art history. Pollock is just a wonderful artist for kids to learn how to experiment with media and style.

I used the book to bring artist into the classrooms of pre-k students and then we made our own splatter paint. the parents were amazed how their children remembered the name of the artist and the technique he used in his paintings

Bought this to show my reception class. Although they can't read it, they really enjoyed looking at the pictures. Aimed for children it's easy to understand and the pictures are great.
