Great colors - good ink flow - nice variety

I love my fountain pen. The cartridges are easy to install and work well. Both from a practical and ecological perspective though, I do wish the cartridges were bigger and held more ink. I find myself replacing cartridges a lot and each little cartridge is hard plastic, so not easily recyclable. My Dryden fountain pen barrel has plenty of room for a longer cartridge so I'm surprised the cartridges are so small.

I have collected and used fountain pens for decades. I also continue to work in many locations and always carry one with me. I also worry that I will lose them or run out of ink just when I am compiling notes at a meeting or needed to sign something Important. I fear not any longer! I purchased two of the pens in wonderful colors several months ago along with two boxes of ink cartridges (black and blue). They travel well, even on planes as I can remove the cartridge in the pen and replace it again either on Board in the air or when I land to avoid any leakage (although occasionally when I forget to do that I have not had any leakage). Everyone has complimented me on the one I am using at the time and should someone inadvertently start to walk off with it, I can identify it and nicely remind them to return it and let them know where they can obtain their own and at such a reasonable price! “Try it! You’ll like it!” as the saying goes. The hardest part is choosing the color. They are all beautiful! Oh yes, now all my expensive pens get very little use, as these are my ‘go to’ tools of the trade!

The cartridges are easy to replace. There is no mess. They are very convenient to carry wherever you go.

I purchased two 24 count Dryden Designs ink cartridges to use with with a Dryden Designs Luxury pen with a medium nib that I also purchased. One ink cartridge set was all blue, and the other was 12 blue and 12 black. The ink cartridges seemed all dried out. The ink would not flow even when I pulled the cartridge out of the pen and tapped it on a piece of cardboard. I put the converter in and loaded it from a bottle of Waterman ink. The pen started writing immediately with no skips. The pen writes well. The ink cartridge sets are bad. I will use the pen as I like writing with a good fountain pen, but only with the converter and bottle ink. I have and use a Mont Blanc and two Waterman pens that I regularly use with no issue. I mostly write notes and letters. The dried Dryden Designs ink in the cartridges made the pen look bad initially, but the converter showed that it was the ink cartridge and not the pen.
