The item is cute. I did not get to use it just yet, had to return it today being it showed up yesterday with a cracked lid on the water container. Getting a replacement soon and then will update my review.

This is a great little dehumidifier that I purchased for the upper area of my living room. Allow me to expand a little, see I live in a remodeled old farmhouse that has poor air circulation issues in a lot of the rooms, since it was built (and remodeled) without proper allowance for modern air conditioning. Since renovating a lot of the air flow areas we've improved the circulation, but the top area of my living room has trouble with condensation weeping from the top of the walls like we lived in the Amityville Horror house. It was creepy and gross and weird and also cost us several hundred dollars a year to have cleaned/maintained from the top of our 20+ foot ceilings. Recently we'd improved the circulation in another room by accident when I put a dehumidifier in the corner, so we decided to give it a try again by installing this one at the top of the stairs, as high as possible but easy for us to still access and empty/clean. This meant it was still about 4 feet below the top of the ceiling, and still only on one side of the room.I'm very surprised to report that the weeping across the entire length of the ceiling has not returned once since we added the dehumidifier. This is interesting because the room is 40 feet long, so we did not expect it to affect the circulation so considerably. But we think that just the act of eliminating a lot of the muggy air around the area closest to the dehumidifier still gave the condensation collecting at the top of the room space to spread out and dissipate easier than it had before. Or whatever. We have NO IDEA.What I can tell you is that the little machine worked great for our purposes and is quite a workhorse. It's run every single day for months with no issues. As son as we notice it's turned off, we simply empty the bin into a pitcher, replace it and dump the water into some plants outside. So cool how the water that was once destroying our house can nurture a plant instead with just the addition of one simple device! I highly recommend other people who have air quality/humidity/condensation issues in homes with poor circulation to consider this option!

This is small and compact for any room in your house. I have a dehumidifier in every room of my house.This particularly dehumidifier is located in my living room. I got several dehumidifier for my house because I was smelling a wet Mildred scent but couldn’t find the culprit. My house is tile and I deep clean my rug to the scent. As soon as I installed the dehumidifier, the scent went away within hours, leaving a slight scent in my room which went away within 2 days with the only thing I did differently was to add a dehumidifier. I presumed that I got moisture buildup in my house because of my vaulted ceilings and of course living in humidity town of South Florida. I’m so glad I got these dehumidifier so now I don’t have excess moisture buildup in my home. I love that you can easily see the water accumulation so others can tell when to discharge the water.
