I cannot say enough good things about these shoes
I cannot say enough good things about these shoes. I used to supinate A LOT due to my extremely high arches, and after years of orthotics and stride-correcting shoes with little reprieve from pain, I gave up and went for the barefoot shoes. As great as the paper-thin shoes were for forcing me to run naturally on the soft trails, I did a 7-mile race in them on pavement and was in tremendous pain for weeks; the hardness of the road just caused too much of impact on my hips and knees. Knowing I did not want to sacrifice the improvement in my stride from the zero-drop, barefoot shoes I had grown to love-hate, my dad got my first pair of these babies! They allow your foot to hit the ground naturally, spreading out in the toes etc.etc., but the super light weight, padded base kept the concrete from brutalizing my hips and knees; the impact was greatly softened without me becoming dependent on any arch-cushioning, supination-neutralizing puff-crap I had in my old shoes. Regardless of whether you have funky-shaped feet like I do, these shoes are awesome and look cool. This sky blue pair trimmed with the canary yellow is my second set (I also have them in neon green!), and I make excuses to wear them casually. It may be the product of being a 90's kid, but the Intuition 2's kind of remind me of Vans (which I find appealing), yet still retain all the qualities of a great running shoe. I've had my green pair for a year and half and they still feel great, a little of the base has been worn away, but not much-- I just got these to leave a pair at work and a pair at home! Overly-long review made short: get these shoes! They are super inexpensive, look awesome, and work great.

Love these!!
Love these shoes. My feet have never felt better. The zero drop is really helping my plantars fascistic. There is a lot of cushioning in the forefoot. The toe box is wide enough to fit my feet and give my toes wiggle room. I feel like these shoes give me some pep in my step! I was unsure about these but wanted to give them a try. And they worked out great for me. If you are unsure, I say go for it!!!! I feel like if I were a runner I would want to run in these.Only cons I see: the 9 is almost too small and 9.5 is almost too big. I'm somewhere in between. I went the 9 and I think these are working out great. The other con is the outsole. I am using these for work and I am worried about the outsole wearing down before the rest of it does. I have to walk a ways to get to work so I'll be leaving these at work and changing into them when I get in.

Altra Women's Intuition 2 Running Shoe
So far, so good on these shoes. I wear them nearly every day for a roughly four mile walk with my dogs, and unless I have swapped them out for my snow boots, they are on my feet in all types of weather. They have a decent capacity to stay dry so long as it's not pouring out, and perform better than I expected on wet grass. They are made of a light mesh upper, but they are surprisingly warm, which is a definite positive now that it's winter. As far as wear goes, they are taking my daily walk in stride and have lasted me longer in good condition than my last several pairs of sneakers. I will probably need to trade them in sometime in the late spring, but I think that they will still be able to serve as street shoes for some time after that.As far as comfort goes, they were comfortable from pretty much the first time I took them out of the box. They come with the lovely wide toe box and wonderful zero drop heel that my other pair of Altras had and that fit is perfect for me. I used to occasionally grapple with foot pain issues back when I wore Nikes and, after trying out some other barefoot and zero drop styles, I finally found my way to Altra, and I have not experienced any foot pain since I began wearing these shoes. I am not saying that they are the magic bullet for everyone, but for me, they certainly were.Just as a word of advice, I had originally ordered a 7.5, which is normally my size, but had to send them back for a pair of 8's, which fit perfectly well. I normally don't have this issue, so you may want to size up right out of the gate. The only major con with these shoes is the styling. I don't really care for either of the color options, and I ended up with the pink due to the sizing issue, but I had originally ordered the blue and found them to be pretty dreadfully ugly in person also. However, I should say that I have gotten compliments on the pink ones from people, so it's probably just me and my aversion to the color as the ultimate symbol of femininity that keeps me from loving them.Overall, I give these shoes a big thumbs up!

Almost as comfy as Earth Glide
I normally wear size 8.5 in walking shoes but bought these in size 9 because of several reviews. The fit is good. The look of the shoe is that of a little kid's sneaker. I love little kid sneakers but its not all that cute in adult size 9. But who cares about looks if the shoe delivers comfort. I like how it feels on my 2 - 4 mile walks but they don't feel quite as good as Earth Glides. Unfortunately Earth doesn't offer the Glide anymore so I am glad to be able to buy this brand in no-leather styles. Update - I had to give up on these shoes. My big toes were killing me and I finally figured out why. The Earth Glides and the other shoes I walk in, the Vivobarefoot Stealth, are extremely flexible. This Altra is too stiff for my feet. I loved the cushioning but I have way less discomfort in the Stealth which has zero cushioning than in the Altra. The Earth Glides were both flexible and cushioned so they were perfect. What I've done is buy a new pair of Stealths in a half size larger to allow room for the insole from these Altras. The insoles add enough cush to the Stealth to make them almost perfect.

Great shoes!
I must confess I bought them with trepidation as some reviewers say they look weird and too wide. I don't agree, I think they're cute.. They look like kids shoes but I'm happy with them and so are my feet.My usual shoe size is 5, I got a 5.5. My big toe is touching the shoe, but not uncomfortable so, I still have room to wiggle my toes. Anyway, I'd recommend getting them at least half size bigger or a full size.A great shoe, right padding and great zero drop. Also, I highly recommend Northern Runner with its excellent customer service and fast delivery.

Extremely comfortable! They are unlike any shoe I've ever worn before. They are very cushioned and feel very natural to run in. You don't notice them like you do other shoes.

Love these as I have very wide fit
Love these as I have very wide fit. I usually purchased a size 4. I read the other reviews and purchased a size 5 which fitted very well.
