Had programmed and key made. Works great

Comes with battery no need to take apart
Worked exactly as hoped for. Must have two working fobs to program this one from your car. Several videos out there. Comes with battery. My key did not lock into case but snug enough to not worry. Followed steps to program and it set up perfectly. Took ford emblem off old and stuck it on this one. Since you must have two working key fobs I should have done this a long time ago. If you only have one you need a programmer or auto locksmith.

A little tricky to get to the battery (which was installed and working). The instructions mentioned a pocket in the center console (of my 2011 ford explorer) but this is a very specific pocket located within. After some research, it programmed as expected.

Works with Keyed 2015 Ford Taurus / Police Interceptor <WORKING REMOTE START!>
I had to enable remote start with an OBD2 reader and a free program called FORSCAN. My non keyless car (I have a key to stray) works perfectly with this remote. Both my 4 and 5 button remotes work. This remote enabled me to now use remote start that was already built into my car. The only other thing I had to do was to install a hood switch in the existing wiring harness under the hood. To enter programming for the remotes on my car I had to keep the driver door popped open. Then cycle the key from OFF to KEY ON ENGINE OFF 8 times. The doors locks would then cycle to let you know it’s in programming mode. I then went and pushed every button on my 4 remotes. And then cycled the key to off. The door locks would then cycle again to let you know it’s done. I recommend this product for non push to start Taurus to enable the use of remote start.

Not working
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is not working with proximity. can start the Explorer when you put into the slot, but not on your pocket. Can be programmed but cannot transmit RF and proximity. You nee to get the correct patnumber and not the FCC ID.

Needs programed
I was a little skeptical on this purchase considering the dealer wants over $400 for one. I have a cheap autel scanner that was able to get into the pats system (anti theft) and you just put the remote in a little slot in the center console and tell the car to program it

Looks like oem, hopefully functions the same. Still need to get it paired.
