Seems to work well.If the output is overloaded it does not put out DC voltage-ThAT IS GOOD- it does not burn out. Don't know if it's the same when output is shorted.Good price- saves time not having to build a rectifier for about the same price in components.

A DCC lighting Must
This nlittle unit saves a lot of time and space. It changes DCC to 12 volts dc for most LED lighting needs.

Good rectifier
Bought and added to my Menards Santa Fe Non-Powered Locomotive to replace the DC capacitor that blows if put on an AC track. This rectifier works really well after installation and rewiring the locomotive.
