UPDATED: Great Customer Service
My USB mouse and keyboard worked great with the WEme 4-Port USB Extender converting to Cat5 Ethernet and back. When I tried to use a USB flash drive, though, it was not recognized on the other end. I tried multiple USB flash drives, and none of them worked. I tried the USB flash drives in all four slots with and without the mouse and keyboard connected at the same time. When I connected the same flash drives directly to the device, bypassing the WEme, they worked fine. UPDATED: January 26 After I posted this review WEME contacted me and shipped a replacement. I'm please to report that the replacement does transmit data from a USB flash drive as well as my keyboard and mouse. WEME handled the issue promptly, and for that I commend them, and have increased the product rating from 3 Stars to 5 Stars.

Works With Everything I Have Tried - Excellent Customer Service
So far, these have worked for everything I have tried with them. Including: keyboard, mouse, external HDD, USB Audio Headphones (Astro A40 mixamp, and it does transfer the microphone audio through USB), various other game input devices. It does work with PC, PS4, PS3, and Xbox One. I am using it with a 50ft Cat 6 cable. Update 5/9/2018: I have now purchased two of these devices. However, the second one started having connectivity issues a month after I received it. It was outside of the amazon warranty period. I figured I was likely out of luck, but I contacted WEme support. They worked through the problem with me and ended up sending me a free replacement. Excellent customer service. I will definitely recommend this brand in the future.

Wow, this actually works great at 100 feet!
I bought this USB over Ethernet hub to operate a telescope (via USB to serial RS232 adapter) and Sony a6500 camera over a single cable. So far, with 100' of CAT5 between the PC and the telescope, everything works the same as it did locally. Speed seems to be the same as well.... live view from my Sony a6500 is not totally smooth, but it wasn't locally either. I'd say it was quite comparable. And since this is a powered hub (with AC adapter at the far end), it powers devices like my camera and the serial adapter that require power. I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

All Bark No Bite
The price of the Ethernet USB extender is far too high for the low quality and poor functionality. Pros: - Works for wireless keyboards or other simple USB peripherals - Easy to use Cons: - Cheap plastic construction - Large/awkwardly shaped power brick - Doesn’t work with PowerA wired controllers (not likely to work with others either) - Overpriced

nice usb plugs for devices afar from your desktop
cool idea, wish it would allow for multiple of the same devices to register in the device manager as multiples like it would when directly plugged into a pc. for example, two of the same model of printer / camera / streamdeck, controller, etc. in this, while in theory should send two inputs, would always register as one device being plugged in and therefore only one would work while the other would power on, and do nothing. I tried with various of the same product, in different categories, from dual thermal printers, to two xbox controllers, two steamdecks, two mouse (same model) and as long as it has the same device name, it wont differentiate when connecting to pc. maybe a way around this, but not user friendly. but great way to throw a streamdeck, controller, usb headset, and a webcam to your couch setup and have your computer at the desk and not have to worry about getting 4 USB extension cords. saw no delay in input that was significant unless you consider yourself a a top 1% player in anything, then yeah dont use in any competitive scenario.

Doesn't support more than 2 channel audio
It all started by me wanting to reduce the number of computers in my house. If I could get a usb extension, I could get rid of one computer running 24/7. This computer was in my music rm that has 4 DACs connected to 4 amps. It ran Jriver Media Center and this is how I played music throughout my house. Just downstairs is my windows file server that is on 24/7 also. I decided to combined the two and get rid of the music computer, all I had to do is get a usb extension cable. I got the WEme usb extender (4 port). I already had the cat 5e run, so it was just plug and play. Worked flawlessly at first. A day later I combined the garage and living rm zones, but only one zone played. Come to find out the USB extension can only plays 2-channels of audio at a time. I even ran a cat 6e cable to see if that helped and it doesn't.

Nice little system
I used it to connect to a USB aquarium monitoring system through about 60 feet of in-wall Cat-5e and a 15 foot patch cord. Worked like a champ. The USB power injector is a nice touch, as well as the link and connectivity lights. It seems to be built well, and the packaging is excellent. One thing to note: be sure that your cabling system uses ALL 8 WIRES and that they are connected properly. This device uses all 4 twisted pairs. some cheaper structured cabling systems or patch cords only utilize 2 pairs to save money. That will not work for this device.

I am so glad I didn't buy several of these
Doesn't work. Any Windows 10 machine this is plugged into gets a flood of errors that say "USB Device not recognized The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it" Tried half a dozen different cables of varying lengths. The lights come on with all of them as expected on the device saying it is "working".. but it's completely unusable in Windows. A search for updated drivers revealed that there are none. These devices seem to have been made for Windows XP or Windows 7. Unfortunately I don't have anything that old to test it on. I am so glad I didn't buy several of these.
