Why did you pick this product vs others?:I stripped a screw attempting to replace the fep on the tray that came with my Mars 5 and this made for a fine replacement.

Before I got my Elegoo resin printer, I researched everything I could about resin printing. One person advocated the best way to clean the tank was to expose it to UV light to cure the layer of resin, then pop/peel it off the film. That seems like a good idea. NOOOOO. I ruined my first film because when I tried to pop the resin off the film it snapped into pieces and the sharp edges poked right through the film. I also couldn't get the cured resin out of the rounded corners of the tank without scraping. Even after removing the film from the tank, I was left with a messed up tank. Lesson learned the hard way.This pack of two tanks is ready to go with film pre-attached, and has lids that you can use to cover the tanks to keep dust and light out. I now have a replacement for the tank I messed up, and a spare, for not much money. With two tanks and some replacement films I should be all set!

These resin trays are the same as the ones that come with the printer, so if you like the one you have, you will like these as well. If you are on the fence about getting extra tanks, I would highly recommend it. Having spares on hand means I can swap out different resins between prints without the need to drain and clean them every time. It has also saved me lots of time when a print fails or the PFA liner gets damaged. I can just swap in a new one and keep printing while I clean or replace the film on the old one.

got a cheaper "like-new" condition version and I wouldn't value it that high. There are clear indentations and smears from the previous owner. However, it works as expected. No issues a few prints in. Easy to fill and empty and the new screws are helpful.

This is a well built vat. If you handle it properly, it will last you months. I have had mine for well over a year now, and have had little to no issues. Just be careful not to puncture or stretch it as the FEP is more rigid than some other films. Just like any good product, with maintenance this will last you a very long time.
