Caused me an allergic reaction
First I have to say that I loved the color and the smooth glide application. I really wanted to keep it but unfortunately, my eyes were allergic to it. I tried it a couple of times just to make sure it was from this pencil, and each time, my eyes were burning and tearing badly, and my contact lenses got fogged up. This has never happened with any other liner that I've used, and I did not even use it in the wet line.I had to return it. For anyone who is not allergic, it would be a great eyeliner.

This comes in a ziplock bag. Inside is a card with a little note from the founder of the brand, the liner, and the sharpener. The liner is in its own outer product box and the sharpener is in a little plastic ziplock bag.The card included said that the founder is a registered nurse so her mission was to develop high performance, long-lasting, and low-maintenance products that provide both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits. With every formula, they aim to combine the best ingredients from science and nature and the highest concentrations to achieve maximum efficacy, as well as nourish, rejuvenate, and “Extend Your Beauty.” Sounds nice. The product box for the liner says it is made in the US. The ingredients are listed. It has nothing about being cruelty free. The color is called “Xpresso.” It’s a rich brown. It GLIDES on. It is so creamy it’s like a pot gel liner but in pencil form. Because it’s so creamy, it’s really easy to smudge out. Also, because it’s so creamy it can transfer and smudge before it sets. You need to make sure it sets, which takes about 30 seconds. I have really hooded eyes, so I have to make sure not to open my eyes in that 30 seconds or else it can transfer 😂 Because I have really small, really hooded eyes, I like my liner to be tightlined right up against my lash line. I have practically no lid actually showing when my eyes are open and the tiny bit I do have, I don’t want overtaken with liner. That’s the only downside to this liner…the tip is kind of thick to get a really thin line. But, I just smudge it out and it works fine. It works amazing in the waterline too! When I use it on my lower lash line, I’ll often set it in place with a brown eyeshadow because I’m worried with how creamy it is, even after it sets it’ll transfer or smudge. I haven’t had it happen, but it comes off easily with oil cleanser, so I’m afraid if I don’t set it, it’ll come off with sweat or something. So, I just feel better setting it in place when it’s on the lower lash line. You do have to sharpen it before each use. If you’re going to smudge it out, you might not feel the need to do that. But, even smudging it out, I like to sharpen it so it’s as thin as possible to do my line. Luckily, this comes with a sharpener. It would be better if it was built in like some pencil liners have so that I don’t need to keep the sharpener on hand at all times. But, it’s not a huge deal.Overall, I really like this. It’s basically a pot gel liner in pencil form. The way it glides on and how opaque it is, it makes me feel like I’m using a liquid or pot gel liner. But it’s easier to use than those, for me at least, since it’s in pencil form. I do think it is pretty pricey, especially since it’s so creamy and needs sharpened so often, I feel like it’ll get worn down and need replaced pretty quickly with frequent use. Given that, I’m not sure I’ll purchase it when I run out. I do really like it, but I have others that I can get to work just as well, even with thinner lines like I like, without having to sharpen it every time. I just usually have to go over it back and forth a few times to get the color to appear as opaque as it is with this liner. So, my decision would just be based on the ease of not having to do that. But I’m not sure it’s worth the extra cost for that for me. I give it 5 stars.
