Better than expected.
Bought 4 of them because I am tough on tools, and assumed these were just mediocre saw horse wanna be's. Wanted them to get me through a single job. Turns out they are really sturdy, very adjustable, easy to assemble and will last for many, many jobs. Says 500 pounds, but me personally will never pick up 500 pounds to put on these. The heaviest things 99% of people would put on them will be a door like on a Camaro or a Truck bumper. My only problem is now I have four of them and need a good way to store them, without hanging them on nails or ladder hooks, something that will not damage the foam. I'll build something, but wish they offered it. (hint, hint). BTW, the foam looks really good and tough, but if damaged, it is an easy fix with foam pipe insulation. UPDATE: Almost 1 1/2 years later, these things still hold up to my abuse. As mentioned before, I am rough on tools. My neighbor (quote) Borrowed (unquote) two of them and uses them all the time. He has '52 Ford fenders on them, two front hanging on one, two rear fenders hanging on the other. They do not tip when he removes one fender. I toss either 2" X 4" s or an old pallet, or plywood on them to suit my job at hand. Right now I have an extension ladder between two of them to make a good painting surface for kitchen cabinet doors & drawers. I have four pair of regular saw horses, three light weight, one metal heavy duty. But this is now my go-to saw horse(s). Adjustable height, and being in a wheelchair, that is important. Plus they do not weigh much. Back to the storage, took a door hole saw and drilled holes then ripped the wood in half, made a pair of wood shelves to hold them over my actual door in my shop. Wasted space otherwise. A little tough for me to reach, but perfect for storage.

Better (and lighter!) than a 55 gallon drum
Many years ago in the body shop we used 55 gallon drums a a tire with one sidewall cut off set on top for cushion. Then someone had the idea to bend some electrical conduit into U shapes and bolt the two together and ad some chain for adjustability. Later on they got smarter and added some pipe insulation for padding. All the stands like this I have gotten in the past have had the U shaped legs in one piece each. This, for smaller packaging purposes, have the legs separate that have a slip fit and bold together firmly where the chain and hooks attach. Very sturdy and strong. I have a large American car hood sitting on it now. If you drag this across a shop floor though while something is on it, don't could on the cheap plastic cups for feet to hold up. The one thing I really do not like about this stand is that it has larger chain links than others I had so the opening adjustments are not as small.

Don't overload it!
I have several of these of different brands. They are amazingly handy to have even for non auto stuff like creating temporary work tops. This one isn't as sturdy as my others but for the price it's worth it. I needed something quick and cheap. Just don't overload it. I have this one now holding a rear door and it is doing just fine. I am able to remove the door skin without too much wobble. If you are looking to put something heavier on this I may go one price point up. It is easy to assemble.

DIY table
Using mine as a frame for a narrow glass kitchen table up against a picture window in a kitchen with no dining space. Love the clean, modern, minimalist look that doesn’t disrupt the view. And I transfer it to a creative space or garage if I move.

Wow this thing is sturdy!
I purchased one of these about 5 years ago from Eastwood and finally realized I needed another one. For the same price I can't believe how much stronger this one is. The piping is thicker and the chain is bigger. The foam is is cheap pool noodle material but other than that it's a nice piece.

Je me sers de ce support pour toutes sortes de besoins. Je lave ma planche en voile, ma SUP, mon kayak. Je peux placer aussi une planche dessus pour empoter mes fleurs…. C’est à l’infini.

Very beefy, and the foam seems strong. The hook and chain setup leaves a bit to be desired, but is still functional. Great to have if you're working on doors, bumpers etc. I'm going to wrap the foam in plastic if I use it to paint, so it doesn't absorb the paint and leave a 'crusty' surface that might scratch a future surface.

This unit is very well built and very sturdy. The only issue was the foot caps are hard plastic and I actually split one trying to install them but replacing them with rubberized caps later on should be alright . The chains are heavy duty links and they should support the rated load no problem.

Très solide, je l’utilise pour mettre des pièces de voiture, portes, capot, couvert de valise, bonne hauteur pour sabler où peindre.
