Absolutely love this little machine, settled the argument between my partner and about having carpet in the living room plus a st bernard (they shed alot) a toddler and a cat. I couldn't keep it clean no matter how hard I tried. And then the stairs, all the mud that gets dragged in! It cleans amazingly and if you do it again with just the dry mode it is indeed dry in an hour give or take. Love that you can easily take it apart to clean it and it works wonders on couches and chairs too with the little accessories! Very happy customer!

After returning a Vax carpet cleaner that was useless and broke after one use, I was apprehensive about buying another one. I had owned a previous good Vax carpet cleaner but gave it away because although it cleaned well, the tanks were too small, the machine was hard to clean and it was very noisy and heavy.Now this one I have to say is the best carpet cleaner I have ever used! Someone has obviously experienced all the difficulties that you generally get with other carpet cleaners and redesigned them to be easily used. The tanks slot into place easily. They have hardly any crooks and crannies to deal with when cleaning and they are a decent size, so you aren’t constantly having to fill up the water or empty the dirty water tank. The washing solution goes into a separate bottle that slots into the back and the solution is measured out automatically whilst you clean. My old machine had an integrated washing solution in the clean water tank and it was constantly using up the solution too quickly so I decided to measure it out myself and put it into the clean water tank. This model takes away all of that hassle.Be aware that if you don’t slot the clean water tank in properly, you will find that the water won’t come out so it’s not a fault with the cleaner. I did this and realised I hadn’t slotted it in properly.The ease of use is brilliant. You don’t have to squeeze and release the handle like other carpet cleaners as the movement of going forwards and backwards does it for you. There is a lit up indicator so you can see when it’s washing or when it’s drying. There is also a button you can press so that you are just drying which allows you to be able to suck up all the excess water allowing for quicker drying. The actual rotating brushes are wider in their design which allows for quicker cleaning coverage.There are two attachments that give you the option of have a circular spinning brush for tough stains or a mini hand held small area clean. The smaller non spinning attachment comes with a silicone brush head or nylon bristle head which click on or off depending on what you are cleaning.The only negative thing I can say about this machine is the spinning head attachment clicks on over this little plastic bump and I found it hard to take it off so had to prise it off with a flat head screwdriver whilst trying to pull at the same time. Maybe with time, it will loosen up. I just hope the plastic doesn’t snap.The carpet cleaner is quieter than any others I have used but I did find myself eventually putting on headphones as the noise started to effect my hearing.My photos show how good the machine cleans. My rug had been stored for years up in my loft but I decided it was time to bring it back to life and I’m amazed at how well it has turned out!If you are looking for a good carpet cleaner, I would highly recommend this one.

Purchased to replace very old vax carpet shampooed.Boy have these improved!Vax have obviously listened to customer feedback and really improved the design of these cleaners.I live in the country with dogs and people trekking mud and dirt in all the time,I need to clean rugs frequently but held off because damp rugs drying relatively slowly in winter are horrendous.New purchase absolutely works like a dream the automatic dispenser means that the carpet does not get too wet…the dry only system means that the water can be removed easily and quickly leaving carpet clean and quick to finish drying.The cord is a good length allowing good access to area without constantly moving the plug.Winding the cord up is a pain and the cord holders could be a tad bigger so that the cord just fits a little better.But really what a small complaint!This is a great productI cannot recommend this highly enough

Our previous Vax carpet cleaner had given good service, was many years old and not worth repairing. This model is a vast improvement and so far has given very good results when used on 4 rugs - all of which take a bit of a beating in view of our Lab and her muddy feet - even though we try to clean them up every time she comes in. Good, clear instructions. Assembly was fine. The automatic mixing and dispensing of cleaning fluid (push forward for fluid, pull back for suction) is so much better than before. The 'suck only' button is also a great improvement if you want to get your carpet or rug as dry as possible, especially at this time of year. The only bugbear is the suction 'blade' at the front of the machine - despite careful hoovering beforehand it still traps fluff picked up during the cleaning process, and this is very difficult to remove when cleaning up the machine afterwards. Eventually I found that a small and very thin piece of metal (all that I had to hand at the time) can be inserted in the blade and the fluff teased out. It's a bit of a faff but it does work. But for this it would be the full 5 stars.

Setting up easy, because it is new the water tanks were a little tight, but managed without breaking anything. Simple enough to use once you get the hang of it, the dry only feature is a great addition to the machine. Holds a fair amount of water, both clean and fresh, comes with some carpet cleaner to start you off and I must say it seems good too. The dirty water tank is easy to empty, the fresh water tank a little tight but easy enough. The machine itself seems to use just the right amount of water and detergent whilst in the forward mode, and it sucks up the dirty water very well, the dry only function, although fiddly works very well indeed. The attachments a good bonus. The machine is easily cleaned after use. It is on the heavy side but maneuverers well and is sturdy enough. Yes, it is on the pricy side but worth the expense, a great carpet cleaner.

Instead of new one i get a second hand one. It is abvious from pictures!!!
