I absolutely LOVE this Bible! Of course, Max Lucado is awesome, and the short devotionals written by him at the beginning of every day's reading are really simple, beautiful, and inspiring.This is the first Bible I've had in the NCV, but it's great.Here's the #1 reason why I love this Bible: I've been a Christian since I was a little girl and I am now almost 30 and I have NEVER been successful at consistently, daily reading the Word...and now I am! Every day's reading includes OT, Psalms, Proverbs, and NT, and although it is a little odd to have chapters broken up by more than one day's reading, I don't think it makes it hard to follow.This year I will finally read through the whole, entire Bible for the first time!

It took a while to get but she loved it!

This is a nice one-year bible. I like this one better than my Chronological bible because it is easier and more enjoyable to read. Like every other book of Max's, he adds an inspirational message at the beginning to meditate on before you read. It is nicely divided, Old Testament, Psalms, Proverb, New Testament. I like the NCV translation, too.
