Conntek 30129 15A to 15/20A Plug Adapter ,Black

Worked perfectly! After searching many configurations for using a flat sided prong with the existing 3 prong outlet, I rolled the dice and bought the Conntek 30129 15-Amp to 20-Amp Plug Adapter, 20-Amp Socket to 15-Amp U.S. This is to be used on a copier thought to have a European plug configuration. Forgetting that today's kitchens and garages are configured for both 15 amp and 20 amp devices in the US ( 3-prong and flat sided prong), I scoured the internet only to recognize that hey, this is a US configuration. Checked to make sure that the flat sided prong on the device aligned with the adapter properly and the rest is happily ever after!

I bought this plug adapter because I had a recessed outlet in an outlet box by the front door and I wanted to put a motion sensitive night light by the door. The night light was similar in size to the outlet box so it was impossible to plug it in without an adapter. I tried using a chain of four smaller plug adapters but they would not support the weight of the light. This plug was just the right size and was solid. It was the right choice for me.

I read the reviews, only one of which reported a problem, so I figured the buyer had a custom outlet. I was wrong. We have a recessed outlet installed, since its tight between our wall and electrical device (wall mounted fireplace). The outlet was purchased at a well known, national hardware store. It is generic and common. The adapter would not fit in the top or bottom outlet because the rubber housing is over-manufactured. It's unnecessarily thick along the top and bottom of the prongs (the sides are fine), requiring far more clearance above the single prong than other adapters (or original plugs on any device that I have ever seen). The extra heft is great generally, and the product seems very well made, so I hacked the adapter by shaving some rubber above the single prong. I also shaved some rubber away from the double prong side. It fits now and works well. I gave 4 stars only because of the hack required to fit into a common recessed outlet. The product would be perfect in a regular outlet. Another reviewer reported short prongs and a loose connection, but I didn't find that on my adapter.I should add that I forgot to take a close up pictures of the adapter before I hacked it. The pictures uploaded are only post-hack.

We purchased this for our washer and dryer. The washer and dryer are not brand new but our house is and the house didn’t come with this connection. We were thinking about replacing the whole outlet, but we came across this.. we were skeptical, but we decided to try it out. It’s been great! Washer and dryer work perfectly and no type of electrical problems have occured.

Use on my RV 20amp cable for a/c to plug into wall outlet. Works well at home and campground outlets.

I bought the Evolution Power Tools DISCCUT1 12-Inch Disc Cutte for cutting paving stone but the tool requirement is to have a 20A receptacle, so I ran a 12 gauge wire from the electrical panel to the garage with a dedicated 20A breaker. But then, I need an extension cord to make my cutting more flexible when working outside my garage. This adapter works perfectly since I can just pick up any 12 Gauge extension cord from local hardware store!

I purchased this adapter so I could run a treadmill off of a standard wall plug. After reading on some forums that this will likely work if the load on the treadmill wasn't excessive, I thought I'd give it a shot. This was a far cheaper alternative to wiring in a 20A outlet - so far so good. The build quality on the adapter is solid.

It was a little bulky to fit into the plug on my kenworth.Had to use a grinder and cut down the outer plastic
