Ultimate Movie Instrumental Solos: Trumpet, Book & Online Audio/Software/PDF (Ultimate Pop Instrumental Solos Series)

Most of my trumpet literature consists of method books and classical works. I was looking for something outside of what I currently own. Needed something fun not too difficult but still provide a challenge. This book offers several pieces w time and key changes throughout, you must be on your toes to keep up ;).Great book includes many BIG Blockbuster Hollywood movies, such as Harry Potter and more. Online access provides piano parts (PDFS), demo audio (orchestral acc. & a track of a soloist playing your part), plus special software allowing for practice w demo tracks. It's a great package deal for the low cost it is, lots of fun.The book is just enough of a challenge for advanced high school students or even adults who want something familiar and fun to play but don't want something extremely challenging either.

A good collection of solo pieces from recent movies, especially Lord of the Rings, Bond and Star Wars. Some pieces are only snippets, just enough to here the theme but a few, especially from Harry Potter are multiple pages of solo work. The accompaniment CD is very good. Although it can't be manipulated like some others (tempo or key change) it provides an excellent full orchestra and accompaniment track. A couple songs have very little solo work so without the CD playing along there are 16 measures of rest with a brief interjection of solo followed by more rests. I don't play along with the CD, I am not ready to keep up the full speed, but it helps me in practice to hear my goal. We bought this first in cello solo and then baritone. Both are good but they are solo, not arranged for multiple instruments to play together.

Even if you only know a few of the songs, it would still be worth it. They're super fun to play along with. It's something interesting to throw into your normal practice regimen. I always have trouble staying interested in practice for practice's sake, but this keeps things fun. They're not super challenging, although some are not easy either. So I think it's good for most levels of us amateur players.

This has been the best book of songs. My girls play the cello and trombone and they love being able to play the same music together. And I love that they are excited to play. They did have to ask their music teachers how to play a note or two from a couple of the pieces, which tells me it was prefect for their intermediate levels.

Great collection of songs to use with students! Helps develop lower and middle register.

Great music for trombone. 6th grader able to play music but certainly room for growth as he becomes more experienced over the next few years.

We love it. A lot of new possibilities to learn sax. Very recognizable songs, but for us new ones as well. And very affordable.

The description clearly states that recordings and accompaniments are accessible online which is not an issue. However, I expected to be able to download the files in a standard format such as mp3 but you can only access them via an obscure app PurplePlayer that must be downloaded separately.I like to put the files on a USB stick so that my daughter can listen in the car on the school run so I am disappointed that I cannot do this. Another unnecessary step and another app clogging up my phone.

Original thought, only 50% of product delivered. Unhappy indeed.Update: misleading advert needs to have the content updated to reflect product being dispatched. No cd because all the play alongs are online. You require internet access to play along, which isn’t always possible (or even wanted), which means can’t easily play outside as intended! Instructions given inside the front cover giving a TnT 2 software link & your unique code. Have yet to access so can’t comment on this aspect.

Bought this only because we needed a particular piece for grade 4 trumpet. It turns out that it is full of great pieces that people love to listen to and play. The CD lets you firstly listen and learn it from a track that plays your piece in full then the following track is backing music only for you to play along. The cover is soft and you can bend it back to ensure the page stays open when upright on a stand. Recommended.

Good service from seller, this was a present for my 11 year old grandson who has been learning the saxophone for about 18 months now and loves playing it. When he received it he was thrilled.

It’s not playable on cd machine.as advertised only mp3. Therefore l can’t use.
