This excellent guide not only contains detailed diagrams and descriptions of all Bird Of Prey ship systems, but also includes historical notes, ship system explanations including the cloaking device, crew descriptions, comparisons with other vessels in the Klingon fleet, and an English to Klingon glossary including the Klingon alphabet. As a gamemaster of Star Trek RPGs and tactical games, this has proven to be a highly valuable resource for me in running Klingon scenarios. Q'Plagh!

I received this book as a gift for Christmas, and was surprised at the actual contents of the book.While it does go into pretty good technical detail about the iconic Bird-of-Prey, it is definitely not a Klingon version of the "Star Trek The Next Generation: Technical Manual." Instead, this is a much more story/culture-heavy volume that infuses a lot of Klingon history, language and culture while it goes through the ins and outs of the ship.Overall, fans of the TNG technical manual may be slightly disappointed, as this book does not have a whole lot in common with the former. But if you're a true Trekker or Trekkie, or just like the prospect of having a healthy dose of Klingon culture alongside the tech specs, then look no further.

I got something i didn't expect with this purchase - an actual hardback version. I've only ever seen it in the large softcover (which booksellers consider the same as a hardback), so I was surprised. Love it. Very happy with this purchase!

The book is written in more of a story form than an actual Haynes repair manual, but at the same time that feature is what makes it entertaining!I think it is a must have for a Star Trek Next Generation and later collector.
