A must have for eclipse watching, unless you WANT to become blind. Protect your eyes with these glasses. Package indicates it meets the standards. They worked, I'm not blind, satisfied customer!

To test these prior to the eclipse, I used them to look at the regular, full sun on a nearly cloudless day. An important thing to note is the light will bleed over the top and bottom of these unless you press them to your face. So I did that, and the sun was the only visible thing in a sea of black and even it barely penetrated. It shows up as an orange/red ball with these. It is not at all painful to look at. The guide is very helpful. First it explains what an eclipse is and how it happens, in terms friendly to a curious child. The details on the total eclipse, on how it affects plants an animals, is fascinating. The best part of the guide is on pages 34 - 47 where they give the start and end times for both the Oct. 14, 2023 Annular Eclipse and the April 8, 2024 Total Eclipse, city by city as well as the eclipse magnitude for those of us only getting a partial eclipse. The booklet does contain a lot of advertisements for their products, but the useful information is well worth it.

Purchased in 2017 for the eclipse that went through Wyoming, these worked really well. My daughter and I got to watch the entire eclipse which lasted just two and a half minutes unfortunately, but it was still exciting, the first eclipse for both of us. They fit well on both of us, and she was just in the 6th grade. I still have them in case we go see another. They're very easy to use as most eclipse glasses are. We probably didn't need them as there was a group there handing out eclipse glasses to people who didn't bring any.

This came with instructions, and a nice booklet with additional information. I took one star off because I purchased this to include 4 glasses. The package was split down the side and was missing 1 pair of the glasses, so we only have 3 pair. I would recommend these, it’s a nice pack to prepare for the eclipse.

Glad to have on hand

I bought these glasses for the viewing of the eclipse for myself and the kids. Likes: The glasses do help you look up to the sun without the harshness of the rays. You can fold them to fit smaller faces. They come in 4 pieces, thus value for money if you are having a family of 4. They also come with instructions on how to test them and use them which is great to do before going out to view the eclipse. Dislike: The surface area was too small especially for kids who tend to try to look for a wider space. Considering this, I would purchase the other type of viewing glasses that one holds to the face for next time. However, these still serve the purpose and we will still use them for the full eclipse coming in April 2024.

Bought these for the eclipse in April 2024 over North America. I had purchased similar paris of Celestrons in the past and was very happy with them. But I misplaced them and had to buy a new pair. They worked perfect for this occasion. My daughter and I had a great bonding experience, this being her first eclipse. Also made in America, which I support 💯 great value for your money, fit well, not to big, quality is great. I've since found my other sets of Celestron glasses that I purchased back in 2017 for that eclipse. Those 2017 glaases are in great shape, so durability is solid. Definitely recommend..

Worked as advertised. Made looking at the eclipse fun and secure. Included booklet is great. My son read it while driving to see the eclipse and he was even able to teach me, amateur astronomer, stuff about eclipses. Which made our trip a much more enriching experience.
