Decent tool. Not the highest quality, and definitely not pro grade, but for a hobbyist or DIYer it’s perfect (I use the pro stuff at work, but this is perfect for at home). Great value!

The weight and design make this a solid tool for working on the small DuPont connectors. It is extremely durable for the cost. Unfortunately the connectors a difficult to work with unless you brace your arms onto a table (to reduce any wobble). I use the tool on female connectors as soldering them is difficult without wedging a toothpick in the hole to ensure no solder creep. For male connectors I have reverted to soldering.

consistency is not easy for this noobe, I found a how to video, however still frustrating. As funding permits will get a different crimper with a pin stop.

They're reasonably priced, and they're highly recommended, even by pros who make manual wire harnesses for a living. I use this to make custom harnesses for cars, and it works beautifully.
