Lentek Super Bark Free Dog Training Device

This device did not work, it did make a high pitch sound on the audible setting but only made my neighbors dogs bark non stop. It did not solve the barking dog problem only made it worse. After a couples of weeks I went to test the device and the audible sound would not work, so I turned it off and check the 4 D batteries I had to install ,because the ac adapter would not fit. Batteries were changed and I retested the audible sound nothing. I set it aside for a few days, went back and it worked...hum something not right. I returned it for a refund.. I feel it is not worth the amount of money for the results I got... I wanted non barking neighbor dogs...not constant barking dogs....

Stopped working after about 2 hours. The unit is getting power, indicated by the red light, and the "test" button still makes a sound, but the sound sensor and/or microphone failed, because no amount of loud clapping or barking will set off the unit anymore, no matter where the sensitivity slider is set or how many barks between 1 and 4 are selected, and whether set to ultrasonic or audible. And wouldn't you know, I didn't go to use it until I'd had it for over a month; when I tried to return it, I found out Amazon, which is usually good about returns, has a "return window" for this item of only 1 month! Gee, I wonder why that is. Could it be a lot of these get returned? What a frustrating waste. Oh, and I have never seen a battery compartment so poorly designed. It's a ridiculous struggle getting the bottom 2 of the 4 "D" batteries into their positions. You have to angle them in ever so slightly, trying to support them with the tips of your fingers from underneath. The poor engineering of the unit complements the poor durability.

Have used this Bark control for over 4 years for 2 barking Labs of mine. Had others that didn't do it. Long as it's on and batteries are good it works 100%. Has number of barks control that i set on 2 barks. After 2 barks a very high pitched noise sounds. They stop barking soon as it sounds. Were getting very costly citations for them barking at the mailman in mid-day by a harassing old neighbor. After 4 in a year we got this wonderful deterent. No ticket since and old poop neighbor has nothing to complain about !! There's also a sensitivity adjustment which i barely set. If set too high it picks up lawn mowing and jet fly overs, door slamming and yelling ( did enjoy it going off when my husband was yelling and slamming the back door. Was secretly laughing !! Have to turn it off when our yard is mowed and thunderstorms so it wont hurt the dogs ears unneccessarily. It will work through a wooden fence. Ours is on a patio table pointing at the backyard fence. Uses 4 D batteries that last about 6 months then needs new. Heavy and well made except the cone that directs the sound can be tricky to snap together. Takes a bit of patience. I'm saving cone from previous incase i break one. OK, this is our 3rd one. They last 1 to 2 years. 1st one got soaked in a storm so now we bring it in or cover it w a plastic bag. So place or hang where wont get wet. 2nd one quit 2 months after the warranty was out and Lentek nicely sent a brand new one at no cost; were very nice. 3rd one stopped after 21 months of use. Didn't hesitate to order this new one. BEST weve had for barking. Highly recommend to keep yours or neighbors dog quiet.

I have to tell you, the performance of Lentek's Super Bark Free really surprised me. In a GOOD way! Our neighborhood has a bunch of constantly-barking dogs. This drives me crazy as I work from home. I've called the police, who were useless and referred us to the Humane Society. Who was also useless. They said they'd send a letter or something. Regardless, nothing changed. The most annoying dog BY FAR is our neighbor's behind our back yard directly facing our bedroom. There is a chain link fence and their house's wooden single wall between us and the dog 25' away. It's one of those annoying yappy dogs like a miniature pinscher or chihuahua mix. You know, that kind of shrill shrieky high-pitched yap that makes your skin crawl. This dog grated on our nerves all day and night long! Out of desperation, I gambled on this device and I made sure I bought it from Amazon so that I'd be able to return it hassle-free when it proved useless. NNNOOO!!! Within an hour, that damn dog was silent. From then on, only SHORT bark episodes would escape that frigging dog before it shut up again. This dog would literally bark ALL day and ALL night (YES, at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, etc.)! We have had MANY sleepless nights because of this damn dog! Now it's more or less quiet! My girlfriend works for an eccentric rich woman with SEVEN spoiled-rotten totally undisciplined papillons at her home. Yes, another small shrieky yappy breed. These dogs are neurotic and bark, ALL OF THEM, at EVERYTHING! She was ready to quit but decided to take the device to work. MUCH to her surprise, the dogs shut up immediately! They all stare at the device confused and whimper a bit but they shut up after one or two barks initially, then they think twice before barking. Now, the device is specifically labeled "for outdoor use only," but whatever. Those stupid yappers are quiet now. This thing turned out to be a great investment! We got it almost 2 months ago and put rechargeable batteries in it and have recharged them once just to make sure it would not die on us. It appears that a single charge should last at least 2 months. It is well worth the price if you are simply going crazy from barking dogs. My gripes about this product are that the other dogs nearby aren't affected by the unit. They are about 100' away. I WISH this unit had a longer range/higher sensitivity. Another thing it could use is a visual alert indicating when it's been activated and not just powered on. Preferably a rotatable visual indicator so the user can tell when the unit is sending its inaudible signal. Also, its audible mode is REALLY annoying. This may be designed to intensely upset the offending dog's owner into quieting that damn dog down. But the user will have to hear it also and it's worse than the dog barking. A simple single beep option to indicate that the unit has been tripped would be VERY nice.

in august of this year , my partner and i completed the purchase on a rural spanish property . On first viewing of the property , initial reaction was not positive , due to the nearest spanish neighbour having sixteen hounds roaming their driveway , and making a god awful racket . However we soon noticed the noise quitened down once we were out of sight , So we figured if the only time they could be heard , was when someone approached the property , it wasnt so bad . Everything was fine until the end of the summer , when we found out , the spanish neighbours only used their villa during the summer as a holiday home , then they moved back to town , taking four of their hounds with them . The other twelve were left behind as security dogs . If the poor dogs are lucky , the neighbours comes back once a day to feed them ..This is when the situation becomes really bad , the twelve remaining dogs (some locked in cages), are bored , hot , hungry , dehydrated and VERY NOISY. As a result of this , the dream home in the sun becomes a nightmare , the other half who is a ratty bitch at the best of times , suffers sleep deprivation, and i end up living with an absolute psycho with pmt . . It really would be safer being locked up with an axe murderer , , than a mad bitch who hasnt slept for weeks. In desperation , i started to look for a remedy for this situation , and after about four hours of searching and reading reviews , decided to purchase this machine . LET ME TELL YOU , THIS BABY IS AMAZING , IT ACTUALLY WORKS . The reviews and instructions , advise it takes time , results are different with every dog , every situation , multiple dogs , location etc. But within half an hour , twelve howling hounds , were left bewildered and SILENCED ! Its amazing and it works . The morning after first placing the device on our property , the spanish neighbour drove up to his property to feed his dogs , only to be met by silence , He eventually noticed the device , and asked for an explanation as to why we had a problem with his "working dogs" , and then hurled a string of expletives in our direction.( which we couldnt find in the spanish dictionary ) .,

Im sorrounded by 5 dogs that were barking all night. Every time they would start barking i would go out in the yard and activate the Bark Stop. They all were clearly irritated by the device and would stop barking right away. They would start barking again after a bit and i would activate it again every time. 1 year later almost no barking. One dog barked all night without stopping at the beginning and now nothing. It worked great for me. You have to be consistent with doing it every time they bark and they get the message eventually.
