I bought this to install a Noctua NF-A12x25 (4 Pin) to my GE Opal 2.0 (2 Pin). It worked great, no modifications needed. It was worth buying this instead of dealing with the hassle of splicing. It is also a good length, combined with the fan cord to connect it to. This should work with most circuit boards to install pc fans. Overall its a great buy and looks like its a good cord.

It turns out there are different sizes of two pin connectors on motherboards. There are lots of little fans out there that have a two pin connectors but they were too big / wrong size for what I needed. This little adapter cable fit perfectly. I just had to order a fan that had a three pin connector on it and it fit into the other end of this cable.

Worked great. I had to replace a noisy fan in a brand new astro-camera. This adapter allowed me to avoid cutting and soldering - something I would not have relished on a $1500 camera!
