Danskin Women's Shimmery Footed Tights

For reference, I’m 5’4”, 148 pounds, size 8. I ordered the size C. I worry if I don’t err on the side of larger, tights will slip down at the crotch. The C fits perfectly & pulls up as high as my ribcage. I needed a pair of cream colored tights with a slight gold shimmer to match the gold threads in my sweater dress. These fit the bill perfectly! This is the first time I’m wearing them & they feel like they are of good quality, hoping they won’t snag. I posted pics with sunlight coming in through the window, hopefully enough light that you can see the shimmer of these tights.

These tights look so cute. I wore them with a skirt. They are warm and comfortable.

The best tights to ever exist. These tights can withstand anything. I put a safety pin through them to hold up thigh highs and they didn't snag. There isn't even a hole through the tights. They make your legs look great and they fit over my bigger thighs! These are great for especially things like dance, figure skating, cosplay, or even just a night out but especially if you are looking for something more durable.

I got this to cover my leg hair when i wear fishnets/other tights- i don’t shave my legs at all but prefer the aesthetic of hairless under decorative tights. it works great for this, even masking a dark scar on my legs as well, and under a design you can’t even tell that it’s not my skin underneath unless you’re up super duper close. i have even worn them plain under a dress and still looks great. makes my legs looks smooth, soft, and hydrated :D the actual durability of the fabric is decent and doesn’t snag/run but the seams around the crotch have already developed holes/weak points- i’ve worn maybe 5-6 times during daily life activities, and bought these because dancers need to be able to move a lot more extreme than I do so you can only assume they’d be more durable in that area LOL. I plan on buying a secondary pair and sizing up from C-D to see if that helps prevent that but will update my review if that helps that issue because i followed the size chart originally. overall super comfy after you stretch the waistband out a bit, doesn’t roll down or move, and color matches my skin tone well enough. I don’t know if it’s fully worth the money because of the seam strength issue which will make them unusable eventually, but otherwise great tights, worked well for what i wanted them for.

Appearance: Very shiny and pretty, good match to the skin tone Fit: Went by the size chart and got a Large but I think a XL would’ve suited better. I imagined they would be like pantyhose, they’re more like actual tights. (Duh lol). I did have some sensory issues with the seam at the toe, but you can adjust it with some effort. The seam sits at the edge of the toe. Also, the waist band was a little tight (so get your correct size) but it didn’t roll down! Hourglass figure for reference. They held up really well for an entire day, I washed them and they are still holding up well. Don’t have pics cause I don’t want to get up but in the pics I listed I am wearing the tights (with fishnets over them) they looked amazing, natural, and were much easier to take on and off than something like fishnets. In other words, would recommend

These tights are hilariously terrible in the foot area. The size "B" was way too big in the feet and looked like wrinkly elephant skin on our actress. The rest of the tight fit fine which added to our general confusion. We bought according to the size chart, I don't think sizing down would fix this issue. I think there's just too much material there. Toast color was great though for paler Caucasian skin tone. Should have gone with Capezio brand.

They are definitely shimmery! Not quite Sabrina Carpenter level lol but if you layered two pairs they definitely could be. They didn't rip when I tried them on either, so I'm taking that as a good sign! Overall they are very comfortable, and the waist wasn't super tight like most tights are. I do have to say something about the size and save y'all some time and stress though. Go a size down! I went by their chart, and it is not fitted at the ankle. I got a B, I'm 5'3" 110-115 lbs, and It fits my legs great but the ankles are loose/stretched when pulled tight. I genuinely think these would be perfect if they were in my actual size. If you are a dancer though, these would be very annoying to have in the wrong size. Pointe in these makes my arches look completely flat. Seriously though, just go a size down if you're nearing the bottom of one size's scale. They are almost perfect! I'll be ordering another pair in a smaller size, and I will also be wearing these while bar hopping on Halloween so durability will be put to the test. I'll update this review soon hopefully with only the high praises I'm expecting of the overall quality 🫡

Be careful with these if you’re a gym/curvy girl!! I’m 5’2 and 140lbs, I have larger (24 inch) thighs but slimmer (8 inch circumference) ankles and a medium (27 inch) waist, so even though my recommended size was B, I sized up to a C. The ankles are baggy and saggy and the color of the tights is completely opaque below the knees, but the butt and thighs are very tight and compressed to the point where I have the dreaded tiger-stripes you get from too-small pantyhose getting pulled too thin. On top of that, the waist is either too big or there isn’t enough space in the seat, because these keep riding down and I have to constantly pull them up. If you don’t have a big butt or big thighs for your build, I do honestly recommend these. My nails were a little jagged when I tried these on, but even though they caught on the material there weren’t any rips, tears, or runs. I wore these around the house for the day and WOW, the material feels amazing. They just don’t accomodate bodies built like mine. Also, the black color is matte. I double checked the package (which came torn as if it were already opened) and these are the right ones. But where’s the shimmer? I tried natural light, bright light, even a flashlight… no shimmer or shine at all. These put me in a weird spot. Due to the quality and the low price, I plan to turn these into thigh highs and wear them with boots to hide the saggy ankles. The lack of shimmer is a big disappointment because I needed shimmery or shiny black tights for an event, but if all you need are high quality black tights, by golly these would probably be perfect for you. I’m taking away one star because the size chart really should have had measurement ranges instead of heights and weights, because if you have thick thighs you straight up can’t wear these. And I’m taking off another because there is NONE of the advertised shimmer with the black version of these. But do I recommend them? Actually yeah, if you’re more conventionally shaped and don’t care about the shimmer. The material is luxurious yet durable, and there’s this cooling effect to them that would make them great for dancing or performing in.
