I've had the same problem, but haven't tried to make adjustments yet. After taking off the back, there is a lever for that purpose. Check online for videos that demonstrate making the appropriate adjustment.

I really cant answer that, but the movement is the same movement that are in a lot of other bargain watches. It is fully mechanical (must be wound very morning, hopefully in the same hour), and durable. I know that isn’t what you are asking for, but I hope this helps a little.
