So far, looking at the book, there's a lot of pictures and explanations. I saw a page listing other useful tools such as a teacher, different tire is needle heads. I'm excited. A Must Have Book for All Sewists
I heard about this “must have” book on a sewing channel I follow. I have so many books from Patty Palmer, Sandra Betzina, Vogue, Claire Shaeffer etc. Well I must say, this book blows me away! The instructions and diagrams in this “guide to sewing” are excellent! If you want to add a book to your collection of sewing books, whether you are a new sewist or experienced, I highly recommend this book! It’s beautifully done! And if you forget how to make a collar with a stand or anything at all, you will find it in this book.

Excellent book to learn to Sew
I bought this book for my beginning sewing class. It is now an awesome book for reference. It clearly explains different sewing techniques and has great illustrations too.

Comparable to Original Edition
I owned the first edition for many years until I gave it to my son at his request. I miss my original edition and was disappointed that it is no longer available but I am glad I purchased this newer version. It is nicely laid out, well-organized, well-written, full of good information, clear instructions, and accompanying illustrations that are very helpful. If you don’t have the good fortune to own the original version, I do recommend this newer edition as a comparable and suitable alternative.

GREAT BOOK. WELL ROUNDED AND USER FRIENDLY!
I WOULD SAY THIS BOOK COVERS INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED SEWING TECHNIQUES. A BEGINNER MAY WANT THIS GUIDE ALONG WITH AN INTRODUCTION TO SEWING BOOK. READERS DIGEST RARELY DISAPPOINTS. I DO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

Wonderful book.
Wonderful book. I lost my old book which was with me for decades, previous edition. So I am really happy to buy this latest edition as part of my curriculum to teach basic sewing classes.

Beautiful Sewing book and big! Over 400 pages
Sewing is a lost art. It was hard just trying to locate a full reference book on how to sew. Glad I picked this one. The pictures are beautiful and I think if you are a beginner to sewing this book is all you need to get started.

This has been written in the style of a magazine so it doesn't really follow the rules of a book - the first to last project isn't easiest to hardest. However, the depth of knowledge gained from this compilation is unparalleled.

This is more than just a beginner’s sewing book. It is highly recommended by several YouTube sewing channels. It has plenty of illustrations and easy to read, to the point directions. I highly recommend this book for beginners as well as intermediate sewists who want to expand their skills.
