I'm not really sure how to rate this. I got my first tattoo a couple weeks ago and bought this stuff because I was told to use an unscented lotion. This isn't really unscented, it smells bad. Like a slightly chemical, slightly clove scent. It's not a strong scent, but it stays on my hands if I don't wash them immediately, so I suppose it also smells on my arm too. It's very thin. Just for comparison, I'm used to wearing scented lotions and body creams from BBW, which are thicker and well scented. Like I said, I don't know how to rate this because I've never used a product like this. I want to say it makes my arm itch, but I can't be certain that's from the lotion and soap... however, I itch less when I just use aquaphor on the tattoo. I wanted to be fair in my rating, so I gave it 3 starts. It's neither bad, nor good, it just is.I have not gotten any infections, so I assume the soap is good, but I did try to wash my face with it one day, and I broke out. I just noticed this review is for the lotion and the balm.. I haven't tried the balm yet, as I've only had the tattoo for 15 days.
