Easy to install.

The heater's display panel indicated a temperature probe fault. Oh boy. A bit of searching and up came this sensor. I took the twenty buck risk. To install it, open the large panel and you will easily notice the temperature probe screwed into the cold water intake pipe just inside the unit. Make certain the power is off and unscrew the electrical panel cover. Follow the probe wires up into this panel and unplug the two connectors on the circuit board. Remove the probe assembly. Note that the probe is glued into the cold water plug so you will need to drill out the old probe. Pull off or yank the probe's two connection wires so you can drill though the glue, drilling out the old probe. It is about 1/8 inch x 1.5 inch. Insert the new probe, screw the plug back into the water intake pipe and connect the wires. Put all the screws back in and enjoy the warm pool once again.

This part fit perfectly and installed easily to get my pool heat pump up and running again. Last time a rodent chewed through a wire I called a "professional" who charged me $85 for a repair that took him less than 5 minutes. When it happened again just 2 months later, I decided to order this part and try to repair it myself. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the "pro" hadn't replaced the part last time he just twisted a broken wire back together and slapped a wire nut on the connection. So I did it right by replacing the part and the whole new wire using this perfect fit replacement part.
