My elderly mom had begun having trouble getting in and out of our vehicles - just losing leg strength with age making it harder for her to situate herself when sitting down in a car or to get up and out when exiting. This little handle is great - it's very sturdy - the short steel handle inserted into the steel frame of the car door mechanism gives super strong support for even a heavier person to push down against to reposition themselves in the car seat or to help push up to standing when getting out. It makes such a difference! It's easily stored along the seat edge or in a car door pocket and takes just two seconds to grab and insert into place. I highly recommend it for anyone older with diminished strength or for someone recovering from surgery, etc. It's so useful that we've since bought several more to have in every family member's vehicle for anytime either of my elderly parents needs to get in or out.

Helpful device but still requires strength to help my 200 lb. body out of vehicle. With practice it will become easier to use.

This works great for assisting my senior citizen parents get in and out of my lifted truck. It's easy to use and is so solid. I am 185 pounds and tried it out before letting them use it and it holds steady and firm. This is a must have for anyone transporting elderly, disabled, or even yourself.Just remember to remove the handle BEFORE you close the door (no it didn't happen to me, just a random thought).

Right out of the FedEx box the ComfyGo model E6011 has been useful to me as I have Parkinson's and need assistance outside my home because of walking issues. I took it out in the grassy field at my home and despite wet grass it performed much better the I expected and though the wheels would spin I just had to learn to reduce the power and judicious use of the brake lever to keep it from sliding on small grades. Bringing it back into my home after I finished the first and following outside excursions I have to hose off the wheel treads to remove the mud and then dried off the water with a towel.As for portability, I am not so sure lifting at least 80 pounds into the trunk of an automobile should be thought of easy for anyone other than someone working out in a gymnasium as a weight lifter. Packaging from the manufacturer was excellent.My only disappointment is with the unit is the owner’s handbook. There ae gaps; for instance there is not a parts list for replacing some of the pieces that will wear and why there is a USB port on the controller. A search of the internet for other company models have turned up some other company handbooks that can partially fill in the information gaps.There is no obvious early reason why the unit with proper upkeep should not last for several years and many miles.E.E. I bought this to help my elderly mom get in and out of the car. It has really been a big help to her. The material are sturdy and this ingenious little invention is great!
