I got this drive mainly for one reason, to use it as a Time Machine backup for my MacBook. I have it connected through a docking station and it was super easy to setup. The Mac recognized it right away, I formatted it in just a couple minutes, and from there it started doing backups without any hassle. Since then it’s just been running in the background quietly, doing what it’s supposed to do. I don’t use this for games, file storage, or anything fancy, literally just backups, and for that it has been perfect. Backups run quick and I don’t have to sit around waiting. The first big backup obviously took a bit of time, but after that the incremental ones have been fast. I’ve unplugged and replugged the dock a couple times too and the drive comes right back up without issues, which is something I had problems with on an older external hard drive. Another thing I like is it doesn’t get hot. I was worried since it sits in a dock that maybe it would overheat, but so far it stays cool and stable. I also like having the extra 1TB of space because now I don’t have to think about running out anytime soon. My old backup drive was smaller and I always felt like I was juggling files. Overall I’d say this SSD is doing exactly what I hoped it would. Nothing flashy, just reliable backups for my MacBook so I can feel better knowing all my files and photos are safe. For anyone needing a dedicated Time Machine drive, this has been a solid choice and I’m happy with it.

Fast SSD supporting unusually high IOPS and TBW for the level of product. More of a business office level product than a consumer product, though still falls short of the overwrite capacity of a server SSD. Good for the price. Newer products will perform better now but this has been out for a while and if you don't need Gen4 or 5 PCIe this is a solid choice.
