The FDA defines natural flavoring in 21 C.F.R. 501 "The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof" The flavoring on these bars is really good. You can also CAPS LOCK chemically sounding names all you want to make them appear sinister, but that doesn't make it true. "CALCIUM CARBONATE" - seriously? That's the 20% DV of calcium and is also the active ingredient of Tums.

Is the Palm Oil in this product from a sustainable source? grown and produced in accordance with environmental and social criteria adherence?

If they follow any of the list of buzzwords you mentioned, they would say it on the packaging and the product would be expensive. Simply put, instead of whining about palm oil, don't buy any products with palm oil at all.

Would like to see the food label to determine how much carbs are in there. Wonder why one would advertise for a protein bar without showing that.

As someone with acid-reflux, my diet is heavy on carbs. It's hard to eat much else, so I don't care. What I do care about is getting my protein intake up from about 60% of daily requirement to at least 100%.

Do these have coconut or coconut oil in them?
