I loved these books as a wee lad; I re-read them at 67 and enjoyed them again immensely. Fun reading for cats and chicks of all ages.

I first read these books as a child. A gift from my nana, still love these books, read them to my own child. Upgraded my paper collection to kindle version. For me they are read and read again books. Mary Norton's gift to the inner child in us.

Nice book, but overly thick at 3"+. It makes an impressive looking display in my bookcase, but the publishers should have taken note and increased the page dimensions so thickness could be cut down. It isn't a book for little hands to be handling, and even cumbersome for adults to thumb through. The bottom corner came dented from inadequate packaging and being tossed around during the shipping process.

I am torn about giving five stars, because the fat book is very hard to hold. But I love the stories from my childhood so much, I am submitting this rating based on that alone. My recommendation is to buy individual books instead of this combination one if you don’t mind spending a little more.

These are great books for the young and young at heart. I didn't read the books until i had children. Now that i have grandchildren, I am rereading them and they have "stood the test of time." If you yearn for wide open spaces and the majesty of a wide sky or if you had a lonely childhood or if you had relatives you tolerated and tried to love, or "found friends in strange places" - maybe you will understand why I gave these books five stars. I believed borrowers existed before I read the books.

Came on time, the quality was great for the fact it was printed in 2016 and I received 2019. No scuffs or turned down pages or writing.
