Effective and perfect length!
The media could not be loaded. It is very powerful and true to the title. It is indeed 16.4 feet! Make sure you know what product you are using, whatever cable you use should be compatible with whatever product you will use it on. I am using this power supply for my led strips and it works wonderfully! It is very easy to use and I have had no issues with this product regarding the way it functions, as long as it is used correctly! I have also use this for my laptop, my electric piano, my led strips, you can use this cable for many things as long as they are compatible! It is stong and it has never failed me throughout the months I have had it, I love it!

Better than a wall wart, just watch out for the light.
Power supply for my cable modem was dying, figured the extra capacity would mean it lasts longer than than a replacement sized for the max required load. Helps that being an in-line design makes it easier to plug into the power strip with the rest of the network gear. We shall see how true that is. Only downside I see is that there is a blue light on it that is fairly bright. Not an issue with where I have it but could be annoying in a bedroom or similar.

UPDATED REVIEW: ALITOVE DC 12V 5A Power Supply
FINAL UPDATE: The power supply is currently connected to a 22TB hard drive in an external enclosure which serves as a backup and is off most of the time. On the occasions that I have used it -- sometimes for hours at a time to copy files -- there have been NO unexpected shutdowns. The power supply has worked reliably for the better part of the year.UPDATE: I checked the power supply and found that the 120V cord was not plugged all the way into the power supply. The loose connection may have tripped the power supply's built-in safety protection causing it to temporarily shut down. I plugged the cord back into the power supply, making sure it was firmly seated this time, and the power supply is now working again. I'll do some further testing with an external DVD/BD drive to make sure I've solved the problem.ALITOVE did reach out to address my problem, so I need to give them credit for that.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I connected the power supply to an external hard drive that was used periodically. The power supply itself was connected to a surge-protected switch and was off most of the time. One day I had the hard drive switched on, and while the hard drive was idling, the power supply suddenly gave out. I used a different power supply for the hard drive and it works fine, so the hard drive is not the source of the problem.Overall, the total usage time of the power supply was probably around 20 hours.

A great product with a great price!
I purchased this for a diy mini pc. It works great. The pc is used for audio so I was concerned if there might be noise from the power supply (I had another one that was major noisy). No problem with that here - quiet as silence.Again, it orks great and I'm happy with the purchase.

still holding up after a year
I bought this to replace a burnt-out power cord for a mini dehumidifier. It has a slightly higher capacity than the dehumidifier actually uses. I've had it plugged in almost constantly for about a year now with no issues. The brick gets pretty warm, but so far not hot enough to damage the carpet it's sitting on.

After about 6 months of light use it starting crackling... NOT UL LISTED
Worked for about 6 months for 10 mins a day. The rest of the time it was plugged in but the device it was powering was not turned on. Recently, it started making a crackling noise like something was shorting/burning/getting hot inside just while plugged in. The device it was powering wasn't turned on drawing power. Couldn't smell magic smoke, but I think the unit is a sealed unit. Decided to stop using it before it caught fire.NOTE: Neither the description nor the unit says UL Listed. I would look elsewhere and will be buying a different brand that is UL Listed. I didn't think I'd have to look for this in today's times. I just assumed if it was sold in the US and was an electrical device that it would be UL Listed. Be safe and go with another brand. A $15 power supply could burn down your house. Is it worth it?
