Very sturdy, simple to install; however, not easy with one person...ME.
Very simple to install, I first measured to to place the bottom of the bracket 76" from the ground (to make sure I don't bang my head), do this on the other location 48" inches away and check mark for horizontal level. Then find a center line of the studs, mark locations for bolts on one bracket, drill correct holes, and for one guy on a latter, hold frame to studs using one arm and head and insert bottom bolt and drill in to leave a quarter inch between bolt and bracket. Then go to the top bolt and do the same; now relax and take the load of your head and do the other top and bottom bracket bolts and level vertically and tighten all four bolts. Repeat on other side, and you are done with side bracket install. Since a garage with open studs installation, the back bar was not important for stopping wear on a dry wall surface so I installed it halfway up. Due to the overall diameter of the tires, I placed the bottom cross bars at the max rear and max front positions. And the tires sit perfectly about three-to-four inches below the two bottom cross bars and about one inch from back bar. Makes them impossible to roll off without human intervention (or the Yellowstone Caldera down the road blowing, at which point rolling tires will not be my major problem.) Lag bolts were of sufficient length and diameter to make each bracket very sturdy. In my case, I am only storing four 19" rim size (29" total tire diameter) tires so total weight will be about 120 lbs. Overall, great rack, and although installation was simple to install, not all that easy for a 75 year old dude from a ladder by myself. But like they say, age is just number. Checking level and vertical and horizontal are right on.

An Amazing Value
The rack arrived last week and I had a chance to install it within a few days. It took about an hour but mainly because I was being so critical of my measurements on the garage wall to ensure it was level. I placed a piece of lumber across the supports and laid a level on it to ensure the install was level and it was. After those supports are put up, it's a snap to install the cross bars. The design is really smart and the product comes partially assembled so you don't spend much time connecting the smaller pieces. Really, it came in 4 pieces total: the left support bracket and right support bracket and two bars. There is also a small bag of hardware but it is simple to assemble. The rack was very sturdy once I had completed the install and I have no doubt it could manage the weight it claims. I am just storing some small tires and wheels and it's perfect. I'll most likely buy another one at some point. Now that I own it and have shown friends photos, they are buying the same rack, too and seem just as equally happy with it.

Great product all around
This is a terrific product. The instructions are in well-written English and are very clear. Installation is easy. The rack offers everything you need and nothing extraneous. It's also at the lower end of the price spectrum for these types of products, but is still made of high quality steel. I'm also very happy with how it looks on the wall. I ordered one to test it out, and I'm now ordering two more. [We have three cars and swap into winter tires when the snow starts.]

Perfect for the price and what it is.
For what you pay, this thing is great. Install wasn't terrible (instructions aren't great but it's also not rocket science). It says it's good to ~300 lbs; I'd probably trust it with 200? But I'm storing tires for a prius, so not exactly a big deal for me. I also love that it folds flat and out of the way if you aren't storing any tires. Mine came with some oxidation--some other reviewers have called it rust, but I think it's just some leftover oxidation from the manufacturing process and metal dust. None of the actual parts were "rusty" per say; just rusty dust, if that makes sense. For the install, you'll definitely want a 1/2" socket to install the lag bolts, drill bits for pilot holes, tape measure, ladder, a level, and a helper (difficult to do by yourself). They include a small hex wrench, although having a second one helps too.

Relatively sturdy and a solid product overall.
I installed this on the studs, at the max-width of the product, at 48". I would have liked to set it at 42" apart, but I didn't want to spend the money on a solid backing board and didn't want to use 2x4 because it would have stuck out more than I would like. With compromises made, it still worked out well enough and I am happy with the result. My only complaint is the cross tube flexes and bows a little. I am a little concerned about the long term wear of the product, which is why it is 4 stars. But I am willing to give it a bump in 6 months if nothing changes. According to the UPS packing slip, each tire weighs 55# so at 220#, it shouldn't cause any problems as it is rated for 300#. The tires are for an SUV, so they are at the max diameter range of the rack. At this point, I say, go for it and pick one up. The price is right.

Mostly straightforward install
Tire sizes: Front - 265/35/20, Rear - 305/30/20 from a 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. The mounting hardware needs to go into a stud. Therefore, the widest configuration for this particular kit is 48". I thought that i would have a few inches left to spare when mounting my wide summer tires. However, it is important to note that you lose a few inches because of these brackets. I would say you only have about 46" of width to work with. Wide tire guys - measure the full width of your tire (not the wheel)! I couldn't fit a cricket's leg hair between these tires! I literally thought about using Crisco to lube the last tire I mounted. Not to mention, 3 of the tires are securely seated, the last tire is not seated well. Therefore, I will be using an extra rope to secure my rubbers. Some of the reviews cast doubt on larger tires and wheels. I didn't employ any redneck ingenuity to get my brackets installed. (Just read the directions, measure your tire diameter, and you shouldn't have any issue.) The hardware and brackets are all sturdy, apparently rated for 300 lbs. That being said, if your tires aren't limited by width, you could fit larger diameter tires by using 2x4 "spacers." Again, I did not need to do that. I suppose you could also figure it out how to get wider tires mounted, so long as you tied it all in on the studs with proper lag bolts. Buy with confidence! Hope this helps someone. Now get off the toilet and get back to work.

Work great
They're cheap, and they hold wheels safely. I've come back a year later and bought a second one. One has a set of 16" wheels, the other is holding 17" all with tires and zero issues. Make sure they are in studs.
