Uodated review - New battery works exactly as expected
I purchased this Wasabi battery because I have others by them for use in a couple of compact cameras. Those I have been happy about. When I received this battery I first tried it in the camera and it fit as it should. Camera powered up ok. Then, I decided to charge it to a full charge. People have reported that it works with the standard Nikon charger without issue. Well, not my experience. The charger is supposed to charge a battery within 2.5 hours then will change from a flashing indicator to a solid light. Nikon batteries follow this pattern. However, this battery performed very differently. After several hours the indicator light started flashing very rapidly. After 6 hours I took the battery out of the charger. When I later put it back into the camera and used the camera's built in battery meter, it showed only 90% charged. (Nikon battery showed 100% when charged.)Given the strange behavior on the charger as well as the fact that the camera says it is only 90% charged, I don't feel I can trust this battery as a backup when I travel. Probably going to be returned. Disappointed. Not sure if I will bite the bullet and buy a Nikon battery at a much higher price or try another brand to see how it does.UPDATE ON 7/23/2019I shared my review with the folks at Blue Nook. They asked for the lot number of the battery and then promptly shipped me a replacement battery. That battery responded as it should in the Nikon charger, and promptly charged to 100%. I used my camera, with this battery, extensively this past weekend. The battery has been in the camera for two weeks and shot >300 images. The battery meter shows it at 84%, so based on this I am pleased with the performance of the replacement battery.I realize that Blue Nook can't check every single Wasabi battery to see if it meets specs. Tells me there may be an issue at the factory that is turning out some batteries that are not quite right. However, I do commend Blue Nook for their prompt response and replacement when they knew there was a problem.I have changed my original 3 star to a 5 star based on the replacement battery and Blue Nook's excellent customer service.

Same Functionality, less than half the price
So, after seeing the reviews that are mostly positive based on recent batches, and the manufacturer's commitment to standing behind their product, I decided to pull the trigger on one of these. I just couldn't bring myself to pay what Nikon wanted for a spare battery. I'm using this in a battery grip of a Nikon D7000. With the grip attached, I don't use a second battery in the camera, I just put it into the grip since it's a whole lot easier to switch out. It works perfectly. I have not noticed a single abnormality using the Wasabi battery compared to the stock Nikon battery. Battery life seems relatively comparable to me, though I've only been through 2 discharge cycles. I've run down the regular Nikon one in between for comparison--and don't really see much difference. It charges fine with the stock Nikon charger. In my opinion, it's worth it to be able to have another battery around to swap out during the course of a day shooting. At this price, I'll likely pick up another one just in case for the future. I recommend this battery for those looking to save some money.

Great value & 1st class customer service!
I purchased this battery for use in my MB-D11 on my Nikon D7000 as a secondary battery to extend my shooting time in the field between charging sessions. The first battery I received would not charge and displayed an error while on the charger. I contacted Terry @ Blue Nook and explained the issue. He immediately arranged for a new battery to be shipped to me and I had the replacement in just a few days. The new battery works great and has more than doubled my time between charging sessions. Terry is a rock star! I will definitely purchase from Terry / Blue Nook again and recommend to my fellow Nikon shooters.

Works great, plenty of juice, lacks one feature....
Bought this back in January 2013 for my D7000. It arrived quickly and charged right up with the stock Nikon charger. Popped it in the camera and have been using it back and forth with the OEM battery that came with the camera. The battery lasts just as long as the OEM Nikon and shows the correct amount of power and life in the display when checking it in the menu. The only thing that I have noticed, and this is NO big deal at all, but it merits mentioning - the 'picture' count seems to spontaneously reset itself while you are using the camera. The OEM battery will keep track of how many photos you have taken using the battery where this one seems to get a bit of amnesia when you check. To me, it isn't a big deal but some folks may be driven nuts by this.Overall, I am satisfied. Lack of the feature for keeping track of how many pictures the battery has allowed you to take keeps me from giving it 5 stars. Just cannot give it 5 stars when it doesn't work 100% as intended. I would buy another one without hesitation.

Good Replacement for EN-EL15
I was in the market for a replacement battery for my Nikon D7000 and decided to give Wasabi a try and I like this product. What I liked:1. Comes with built-in fully decoded chip (hence D7000 recognizes this battery and shows battery life, %of charge etc)2. Same voltage as the OEM (7.0V)3. Goes into the OEM charger just like the OEM battery4. Reasonably priced (nearly 141% cheaper than OEM - Wasabi -$24 vs Nikon $58, when I am writing this)Not much 'con' to say because it functions like the OEM, so far so good.I did not do a thorough test comparing both batteries side by side by charging it to 100% and then performing same sets of activities and then measuring charge. But It looks like this battery is not holding charge like the Nikon does (to give an idea, after 400 shots (couple of them were shot in live view) , 2 minutes of video, watching all of them in the LCD screen, and using the LCD screen for an extended time for changing many settings, the battery meter shows 12%..So, not bad either)

1 battery is not enough.
Batteries only last so long. Extra batteries are needed by every photographer.
